When I opened my eyes I was greeted by white. There was nothing around. It was like I was in a white bubble. I rose up. "I see you have woken up," said an echoing voice. "Great I'm dead, and here I was, looking forward to seeing that expedition," I said sarcastically. I heard a little chuckle, "You are an interesting human, no wonder you ended up here." It was a woman's voice, soft and motherly. "Not to be rude or something, but where am I and who are you?" I asked. "Oh, sorry, before I answer that, can you tell me what you remember?" she required. "Amm...sure, I was crossing a street when a car crashed into me, I liked the flying part but it would have been more pleasant if I didn't feel like I had fallen from a high building, the pain was crushing." I told her, "Actually now that I think about it, I was being crushed." I laughed. "Anyway, can you now tell me what I inquired?" I requested. "You are indeed an interesting human, but yes you were in an accident and I am sorry to say but your heart stopped beating," she says in a sad tone. I huffed, "I gathered as much," I stated. "To answer your previous questions, my name is Gaia and you are in my domain, my home if you will," she explained. "How sad, a god can't afford to buy furniture," I commented. After my comment everything was quiet. "Sorry, I should not have said that," I apologized. "It's okay," she answered skeptically. "So, why am I hear, shouldn't I be somewhere with other dead people or be reborn?" I asked. "Every person is usually reborn into a new body and their memories swiped, but if a person is brought to me, I have a liberty to send that said person somewhere I chose to." she explained, "Also I can decide how that person gets there, will him/her have their memories and how old they are." I let the information absorb a little. "Let me get it straight, you are going to send me somewhere and you get to decide what I look like and what memories I have left?" I asked. The voice hummed, "Yes basically." I am not sure I want to know, but I asked anyway, "Can I ask what you are going to do to me?" She giggled, "You just have to wait and see." With that my world faded black.

When I came to, I was in a thick forest laying on a bed of green moss. I remembered everything from my life and also the conversation I had with Gaia. I looked down at my self and saw that I was wearing a white vintage dress, it looked like something from medieval times, but never the less it was beautiful. As I was examining my shos some strands of hair fell in front of my face. It seems I have longer here than I was used to. My hair fell to my kneecaps. "That's a lot of hair, it's going to be a pain in the ass to care for them," I complained. I also touched my face to feel if there were any changes when I didn't feel any I dropped my hands to my side. "What am I supposed to do now, I have no idea where I am." I sighed.

Suddenly I heard shuffling from my left and I turned towards the noise really slowly. My eyes met with a lot of eyes that belonged to a really big spider, it was about as tall as two of me put together. 'Oh my god, I am going to die again!' I almost screamed in my mind. I fell back to my bed of moss and tried to crawl backward but I was so scared that I couldn't move. The spider crept closer to me until it was few centimeters from my face. We stared true at each other what seemed like an hour until it leaned even closer. I shut my eyes tightly and waited for the pain to come, but it didn't. What I felt was something silky rubbing my cheek. I opened my eyes and watched the big ass spider nuzzling our cheeks together. I was getting ticklish and I started to laugh. The spider drew back and did a turn on its axis and jumped up and down for a while. 'How cute.' I murmured. When it stopped hopping I reached forward and put my hand on top of its head and started rubbing a little. The spider let out a pleased noise. "Hello, you are really beautiful," I stated. I was rewarded with another pleased grunt. "Are you a girl?" I asked. Not sure what I should call it. The spider shook its head as affirmative. "Can I give you a name?" I asked. When it nodded again I started to think what kind of names people give to spiders. "How about I call you Elise?" I suggested. The spider started to jump again so I thought she liked it. I smiled. "Okay Elise, do you know where I could find people around hear, preferably someone who isn't afraid of you?" I asked hoping she knew someone, tho everybody usually are afraid of a spider that is three meeters tall. The spider nodded and lowered its body, offering me a ride. I climbed on.
