The alarm goes off, and I wake up with a jolt. Today is the first day of Vidcon. I shake Dan awake, and realise Phil isn't here.
I check around the rest of the room, but he must have gotten up early to go out for something. He isn't here, but that isn't really a big deal. It is the first day, after all.
I get in the shower, with my head filling with thoughts of what could go wrong.
What if I fell over in front of everyone? What if I fainted? What if no one showed up to meet us? What if I just messed everything up?
Stop.
I can't think like that, not today.
I get out of the shower, smelling like mangos. My favourite scent.
"Are you already done?"
"Yes. Your go"
"Ughhhhh. Ten more minutes?"
"No, you oaf. We need to get up, it starts today"
"Oh yeah."
I dry off and pick my outfit for the day:
"Wow" Dan says as I walk out of the bathroom. He's had his shower, and is dressed."You seem to be saying that a lot lately"
"Not Just lately. I've always said it in my head, but didn't say it out loud"
"Wow"
"See? You just can't help it once you start" he smirks.
"Let's go"
"Good idea"
We walk out, hand in hand, to tackle the long day ahead of us.

I flopped down on the bed, stomach first, Dan doing the same next to me.
"That was... eventful"
"Who knew fan girls got that aggressive?"
"Hey, it was cute how protective of you they were"
"They literally mauled someone because he called me ugly. That isn't cute"
"Neither was his comment."
"Neither are you" I stick my tongue out at him.
"I'll have you know that I'm the full package" Dan stands up and does a little dance "I'm beautiful, charismatic and just great in general"
"You can add humble to that list as well"
"Why, I will" He shoots me a smile.
"Hey, is it hot in here?"
