Midnight Kiss

Chapter 10

Thomas

Waking up on my side to the sunlight coming in my window I cursed myself for not remembering to shut the blinds last night. Laying her with Aza curled up in my chest was the best feeling I'd ever experienced. Her soft breathing let me know she was still asleep. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep again though. Once I'm up I'm up.

Staring at my beautiful mate I couldn't help but kiss her neck. Right at the spot I so badly wanted to mark her at. I hadn't even explained marking to her yet. Though she already seemed to know a lot about us maybe she knew already. A growl rippled lowly in my chest as I touched her tender neck. I hoped I didn't wake her up.

She stirred slightly and exposed her neck more to me.

I figured she was either awake and wanting more. Gently I leaned down and trailed more kisses from her collar bone to her jaw and finally to her perfect lips. She responded to my kiss passionately, and wrapped her hands around the base of my neck.

"That was a great way to be woken up" she said with a smile.

"I know. I wouldn't mind having this everyday" I replied kissing her again.

"You wouldn't get tired of me waking up here every morning. We just met yesterday" she reminded me.

"Not at all. With mates everything is like 10 times. In fact my wolf is going to go crazy when hes not around you. You're our world now." I said. Then I looked at her face. Shit Thomas don't scare her off.

"I'm sorry if thats all too soon. I forget it doesnt work that way for humans...well non-wolves anyway. I've heard other wolf non-wolf mates say that the human generally feels intenser feelings that can seem a bit unexpected." I said trailing off before I started rambling.

"Well that makes me feel better. I was wondering why I was feeling this intense with you already" she whispered blushing deep.

"Oh you like me already?" I said teasing her, but also trying to lighten the mood. I could tell she was uncomfortable with all this intense feelings talk.

She blushed even deeper and nodded yes leaning in to kiss me.

Deepening the kiss I pulled her closer to me. Pushing her over on her back laying on top of her. She arched her neck exposing that tender spot to me once again. I kissed down her neck and nipped at the skin. Not enough to break it or even leave a mark. Still my wolf growled again.

"Did you just growl?" She asked pulling away from me slightly.

"Uh yeah. It's my wolf. He does that sometimes. Especially when he wants something or is angry" I say.

"I've noticed it happens when you kiss that spot on my neck. Why's that?"

"It's cause thats the spot I would mark you at"

"Mark me?" She asked a little concerned.

"Yeah. Male wolves mark their mates to let others know their mate is taken. It's a sign that if the mate is messed with, consequences will be higher. You don't mess with a marked mate. Especially not other males."

"Interesting" Aza said thinking over what I said. She looked a little scared.

"Don't worry. I won't mark you without your permission ever." I said hoping to reassure her.

She looked a little better.

"Dude wanna go for a run?" Patrick asked through the link. "I convinced Camryn to come with me. Tell Aza to come too"

"Hey Patrick just asked if we wanted to go run with him and Camryn. Wanna go?" I asked her

"Ugh you guys are gonna kill me with all this running. Camryn loves it. I hate running. But she got me to go along with her every now and then."

"Hey you don't have to. We can stay in here and relax. Even though my wolf is begging to get out" I said giving her puppy dog eyes.

"So does that mean you're going to run in wolf form?" She asked curiously

"Generally it's what Patrick and I do, but we don't have to. That way you and Camryn have a fair shot at keeping up with us" I said with a wink

"Oh now I definitely have to go. Gotta show you what I'm made of. And I want to see you in wolf form" she said jumping up from the bed to the bathroom.

Azalea

Luckily my clothes weren't too dirty from yesterday. Camryn and I would have to go back to home base and get clean clothes. I really hoped we could stay here more though. I was feeling freaked out by the intense feelings I was having, but Thomas's talk about it made me feel a little better. I already hated the thought of not being around him.

We decided to grab a light snack for breakfast before our run. Patrick and Camryn were already finishing up a meal.

Camryn looked so happy with him. It was good to see. I needed to ask her about the sex last night.

Unfortunately we couldn't telepathically communicate yet. I could send her little messages, but hadn't mastered opening a link between us yet.

"Did you have sex?" I asked giving her a look, wagging my eyebrows at her.

She jumped at the sudden thought in her head. Turning to look at me she shook her head no and continued eating.

"But you went to his room to?"

A nod yes.

"What happened then?"

She frustratedly threw her hands in the air in a I don't know way. Guess we'd have to talk more later.

"Are you two telepathically talking or something? Cause I thought only werewolves could do that." Patrick asked. He and Thomas were staring at us in a weird way.

"How could you tell?" I asked

"Easy. You two have been spaced out staring at each other. It's what happens with wolves sort of. Though mostly our eyes get slightly foggy." Thomas answered

"Well we can't really answer back and forth." I started saying

"Aza just likes to scare me by sending me messages. It's like a loud overcome speaker going off in my head. I she cant completely open the link though, but its more than I can do. Though I've been practicing. Sometimes telepathy and mind powers follow divination." Cam finished for me.

"You girls are so mysterious." Thomas said staring in awe at me. The way he looked at me made me blush.

"Come on I want to see some wolves" I said pushing up from the table to go outside.

Everyone followed outside. Thomas and Patrick went over to the tree line to transform.

Once they were out of ear shot I turned to Camryn.

"Feel like doing a little transformation to keep up with them?" I asked her

"Man you're bad." She said laughing. "That's gonna freak them out. Yes let's do it. What are you thinking of changing us into?" She asked eagerly.

"Wolves? So
