《 day 4 》

j i n y o u n g —

Daehwi and I went to a mall to watch a movie in a cinema. We went together and I already bought the tickets. We also bought foods and drinks for us while watching the movie. He excused himself to go to the restroom and so, I waited for him.

After awhile, someone tapped my shoulder and I turned around, thinking it was Daehwi, but I was wrong. To my surprise, it was someone else, it was Jihoon.

"What are you doing here alone?" he asked as he took a bite of a popcorn.

"I'm not alone actually, I'm with someone else, I'm just waiting," I smiled at him and I looked around.

"Oh, so we're on the same boat then. Here, let me stay with you until the people we're waiting for comes back," he stood beside me.

We started talking about random things and joked around with each other. He did his famous "nae maeum soge, jeojang!" which made him popular in our school and did a wink at the end. We laughed after him doing that.

"Anyway, if you don't mind me asking, is it true that you wanted to break up with Daehwi in the first place but he declined to do so?" he asked as he looked at me.

"Yeah, that's true, but we have an agreement so that's why we're still together until now," I answered.

"Why did you want to break up with him anyway? You both looked cute together," he asked and I gulped.

First of all, I started developing feelings for him. I wanted to break up with Daehwi because of that. I didn't want Jihoon to know. I don't want him to feel bad because he might think that he's the problem. I don't want him to feel guilty.

Before I could even find an excuse to not answer, I looked behind Jihoon and saw Daehwi from a distance. I held him on the shoulder and told him that I have to leave.

"Oh, I can see that Daehwi's out of the restroom. I have to go now so see you," I waved at him and he did the same.

I hid my phone in my pocket then I looked up and saw Jinyoung in front of me. I smiled at him and he held my hand.

"I'm sorry if I took long," I told him and he just shook his head.

"Don't apologize, it's alright," he smiled at me and looked at the time, realizing that it's almost time for the movie. And so we started walking to the cinema number where we're supposed to watch.

During the movie, I was just quiet. I mean, I would laugh everytime a funny scene will show up but I would never talk to Jinyoung. Every time he would try to have a conversation with me, I don't even bother talking back.

After the movie ended, I just wanted to go home and forget this day ever happened. I told Jinyoung and he just agreed on going home. The ride home was quiet also.

Why am I even jealous? This agreement will end soon so I don't have the right to feel this way. I shouldn't let this day piss me off.

We finally arrived at our house, before I could go in, Jinyoung grabbed my wrist. I turned around and looked at him with a straight face.

"What?" I asked and he let go of my wrist.

"Are you okay?"

"What are you talking about? Of course, I'm alright," I smiled at me.

He suddenly held both of my hands and looked at me straight in the eyes. My eyes widened because I was surprised when he did so.

"You're not, you were quiet the whole day, what's wrong? Is something bothering you?" he asked with a serious expression and I gulped.

"Jinyoung, I—"

"If you don't want to tell me, it's fine," his expression softened and I looked down.

"You were with Jihoon awhile ago, right?" I looked up and saw him nod at me. I breathed in heavily and exhaled.

"I got jealous, alright? When you were talking, you looked so happy, not as happy when you're with me. I wanted to forget that ever happened but I couldn't. It was hard for me to do so," tears started to form from my eyes. I suddenly felt his arms wrapping around me and he pulled me towards him.

"I'm sorry if you got jealous, I won't do it again. If you want, I can stop talking to him, just to make you feel better—"

"N-No, don't do that, I just want these seven days to be special for me. I don't want you to do stupid things just for me. I really just want to be with you, this will end soon, I promise..." I told him as I started crying when he let me go.

"Daehwi..."

"I have to go, but remember, I just want you to be happy," I faked a smile and I walked inside. Jinyoung was calling out my name but I didn't bother turning around.

I walked towards my room and plopped on my bed. I continued crying on my pillow until I got exhausted, I really just want to forget what just happened. I drifted off to sleep later on and didn't care if my phone vibrated or rang.
