Nobody visited for weeks. It was repetitive, which I liked. The same dull questions from the same boring doctor in the same colorless room. I loved it.
One day I heard my door open. I was allowed a normal room after three days. I expected the doctor but instead I heard a soft voice that I barely remember "Are you doing ok? I'm sorry I couldn't come sooner. Your mom told the teachers what happened so you wouldn't get in trouble for not coming to school, one of them let it slip." A boy's voice said. I slowly looked over and saw him. Evan. Why is he here? He wants to hurt me doesn't he. Or he wants to get information out of me the doctors couldn't. Yeah.....don't trust him. "Hello? Did you not hear me or something?" Evan's voice broke my thoughts. "Oh, yeah. Sorry. It's just that not many people visit and I was a bit shocked." I explained, only partially lying. "I got you something. The doctors said I was allowed to give it to you." Evan explained as he handed me a box.
I hesitantly took it and slowly opened it. Inside was a small teddy bear. It honestly looked like something he grabbed at a dollar store on the way here. "If you were wondering, I made it myself. I'm not cheap." Evan said as of her read my mind. "Really? I didn't think you were this talented." I said, suddenly realising what I was doing. I'm talking. Like a normal person. Am I really getting better? Maybe I'll even love someone eventually. Hell, I assumed I didn't love anyone until....now.
