Peaches Bakery

Farkle's POV

" You are meeting with Mr.Whyte to discuss the new building plans, then you have to meet with some investors. At lunch you will be meeting your father at a little cafe..." my assistant drones on to me, telling me every hour of my day. Which was totally planned with meetings and business, no time for me to relax or time for myself. Sometimes I want a day off, like that  could ever happen. If I took a day off my father would kill me, he'd say I should be investing my time back in the business, it's been in our family for three generations. I'm his only son, he wants my life to revolve around this company just like his. I'm not really mad, but what you have to understand is that I never wanted this life, I never wanted to be stuck in a suit all day reading files and proposals. I wanted to explore after high school, I wanted to find myself, find out who I am first, where I needed to go. All of that changed when my dad threatened to take away my inheritance if I didn't follow in his foot steps. Back in high school I wanted to be a scientist, I wanted to help change the world, find something that would help someone.
I get pulled out of my daze as I hear my assistant, Meredith call my name, " Mr.Minkus, Mr.Minkus, Mr.Minkus?"
I nod my head to show her I'm listening
She then continues, tired of hearing this I simply walk out of my house and hop in my car to head to my first meeting.

  Skip to lunch with his Father

I walk into a cute little café, it has a homey touch to it, like each part was carefully chosen to be there, it was called Peaches Bakery, I'm not really sure of the name but the interior was simply elegant, obviously a woman who decorated this.
As I walk around I see a beautiful short blonde taking an order and after she's done she walks over to a gorgeous tall brunette. The blonde was pretty don't get me wrong, but  with the brunette something was just drawing me in to her. She has a beautiful smile that lights up a room it's even making me smile, she's laughing at something the blonde said, I could listen to that laugh forever. If I could do anything in the world it's to make sure I get to hear that laugh everyday. Realising I've been standing here for a while, I walk over to a seat and wait for my father. As I sit down the brunette comes over to take my order, " Welcome to Peaches Bakery, my name's Riley and I will be your waitress to today, here's our menu I'll let you browse through it and come back when you've decided." She says to me as she smiles warmly.
I got lost in hearing her smooth voice, I didn't hear what she said but simply nodded.
As she walks away my eyes follow her retreating figure until she walks through the doors into the back.
What I wouldn't give to get her back in front of me.
As I wait for my father I simply just think of Riley, I like the name, it suits her.
