Mia's Point of View
Hopping off of the school bus that was filled with nothing but screams from the little year nine's, I dug my hands into my skirt pockets and gazed around the land. A headache boomed through my head but noticing how the trees have started to bloom indicating it was Spring somehow settled it.
In the air it still had the nip of the winter breeze but it wasn't cold enough for me to place my school jumper back on. I always found Spring to be more like a hot tub even though it was supposed to be a little cooler than summer. And I hated that. I despise summer overall so I wasn't a big fan of spring either.
The sweat dripping off of your forehead from just sitting down on your floor while you looked up at the ceiling was the most annoying part about summer. Also walking in the breeze while you were sweating from just looking at the sun isn't in my good books either.
As you can probably tell, I am a winter baby. I prefer the cold to the warm anyday. The cold breeze with the sun shining high was such a delight. Sometimes, if you were lucky enough, you had the beautiful blue sky with just a couple of puffy clouds hanging around.
And in the South Island of New Zealand, if you go further down South it turned into a Winter Wonderland and it was absolute heaven. The snow falling if you were lucky enough for it to be that cold. And watching the snow hit the mountains around you was a sight to see.
The view would make your eyes melt just like the sun on a Summer's day.
