Paper Hearts - Chapter 4

Madeleinee's POV

I arrived at school with 20 minutes to spare before homeroom and met my friends, actually wait no ... just my one and only friend Ashleigh at her locker before we walked to mine...

I spoke up "Hey Ash", "Yeah?" She replied... "I heard my dad talking to my Aunt Julia about someone moving houses"

When I said that Ash suddenly halted and shrieked "WHAT!" making everyone in the corridor stop and stare... I'd had enough of all the stares... "Get on with your lives, you all probably didn't know I existed until now, so turn around" they all swiftly turned back to get the rest of their books for 1st period.

"Run faster, my mother walks faster than you and she's in her 80's" screeched our gym coach, Mrs. Batt. "Ugh" I said as I wiped all the sweat from my forehead from just running 15 laps around our MASSIVE track field... "She is like trying to kill us I swear", "Totally agree, I swear she's out to get us" replied Ashleigh. "Good thing it's last period then we can leave and you can ask your dad about this morning"

"Okay, see ya" I said as I walked to the changerooms to get changed and go home

"Dad... I'm home!!" as I walked through the front door... I noticed some boxes in the living area. "Good because I have something to tell you" My dad replied, I could smell the alcohol on his breath... Gross! "What?" I spoke as I awkwardly sat at the dining table anxiously waiting to hear what he had to say

"Well, I'm busy here and your Aunt Julia called to say she has arranged for you live there... Sweetheart... You're moving to Australia!" Well my life is officially over!

The story is starting to take off now... I'm actually just making this up in my head as I go along so... If this goes all weird, you know why... Also please search up "Paper Hearts - Tori Kelly" it's the song I was listening to when I got the inspiration to write this :))
