All was quiet.

It was cold,

but a comforting cold.

She lay there in the snow, defeated.

A rough, grim chuckle erupted from her blood stained lips.

There her killer hovered over her. The stone cold killer. The destroyer of worlds.

"So.. this is how it ends.. huh..?" she smiled softly.

He let out a bitter chuckle and nodded, gently pushing some of her hair behind her ear. He wiped his tear stainded cheeks.

"I guess so.." he smiled sadly.

The crimson liquid seeping through his hand didn't seem to be stopping any time soon. She coughed and sputtered, causing more blood to escape her lips. Her expression Contorted into one of pain. He held her close, not ready to let go. Not wanting to let go. He had made a mistake. Before he had lost his Friends and family. The people he had cared about turning to dust before his eyes. He was alone. Until he met her. She seemed to brighten his dark world. She was his light in the dark. Now he was going to lose her too. The only one left in his lonely world.

All because of a silly argument. He hit her out of blind rage. It took them both a minute to comprehend what had happened. His strings had gone clean through her stomach. Before he knew it she was on the ground coughing out blood.

His heart shattered and tears brimmed in his eys once more as she gave him the Brightest smiled she could muster. Her breathing slowed and her eyes drooped, her body becoming exhausted. The pain had numbed and the stress on her body was becoming too much to handle. The blood that had been pouring out had slowed. It was not a good sign. His tears dropped onto her frozen cheeks and his smile fading to a frown.

"D-Don't cry.. everything will be okay.. please.. just smile for me.. love..?"

She reached a shaking hand out to his cheek. He forced a smile for her sake as her eyes finally closed. Her hand fell limply to her side. She had drawn her last breath. He held her now limp body against his chest as he whispered for her not to leave him. Sobs racked his body as her body turned to dust, her soul fragments along with it.

He sat there in the snow, his lonely world becoming quiet once more.
