My Rapunzel

We all know the story of Rapunzel. How she was locked away in a tower until a handsome prince rescued her from her solitude and the women who kidnapped her. This story is similar in some ways but unique in another. A father who refuses to allow his daughter freedom and keeps her at home. A boy who's life is not prince like but has the heart of one, even though he himself doesn't believe it. This story will include love and the hardships and struggles one will face. The plans of escape and plans for the future.Many obstacles to face and to over come, can Rapunzel escape her solitude with her prince or will they fall apart.

Rapunzel was just like any girl at school ,young and scared of the unknown. She had good grades and some friends to talk to at school but she herself felt always distant. You see, she was never allowed to hang out with any of her friends and could rarely go to any family memebers home except for her grandmother's who thought of her as a burden. Her father who was mostly raised by cousins and sometimes an abusive mother after the lost her husband she had a mental break down and was never the same. He developed an trust issues and a need to keep those he loves and cares about close to him even if it meant isolating them from ever progressing from childhood to adulthood.

The girl lived like that for seventeen years but she soon was reunited with an old lover from years back.They began to talk again about the old days of when she would sneak off to the skating rink and thus where she meet her prince.Back then he was a very shy boy had long brown hair that went over his face and wore black clothing. He had some facial hair a thin mustache and chin hair. He was one of those earlier bloomers so he was much taller then any of the group she had hung around but never really belonged. At the time they meet she was dating a friend of his who she only ever talked to him was at the rink. When she meet her prince she felt something but knew it was wrong to have such attractions to her boyfriends close friend. So when they broke up she soon became very close to her prince. They soon dated they were happy at first but that spark didn't light the fire and so slowly they parted. Years later they reunite instead of the shy boy she once knew he had broken from that shell and had gained many different kinds of work experience and became a fan of comedy and had his head held high for his future goals. After a few days of talking they decided to give it another try for they both was tired of being alone and still had a bit of spark for each other.

Day's past and soon they wanted to hang out but Rapunzel was afraid to ask her father if she could. Her past attempts always ended with a "No". So she decided to ask her father but saying that they would have someone else with them which was true. So they hung out at Walmart and game stop but was required to inform her father of where they were with a picture almost every hour.Soon her prince was allowed at her place. Rapunzel thought everything was great but the prince had fears that he hide behind his smile. He was conflicted with the future which laid so close that you could touch it. He knew what he wanted but Rapunzel not being truly allowed any where had no real experience or knew many people. She feared that her prince although he tells her not to change for him and if she wanted something different things then get them. She knew this but her mind wondered asking herself "does he want to break up but want it to make it seem like my idea?" "Am I holding him back from him moving forward with his plans for the future?"What is he hiding from me I want to know but I want him to feel comfortable with telling me." She didn't know what to do, she didn't know what to say. She loved her prince but she questioned his love. He is so sweet and loving and makes her so happy when hes nearby. She wishes that it would last forever if possible. She fears however that after graduation she will still be restricted in her own home.

Rapunzel I ask you what will you do for the one you love? Will you break from your shell and be free or will you let your fear of your own father stop you from moving forward? Will you improve yourself for all situations and to take responsibility for your actions? Will you Rapunzel grow to be accepting of your beloveds choices even if it means to leave you for his future success ?

Right now she still wonders that herself what she will do in the future and what she will sacrifice. She wants this relationship to stay strong, she wants to be with her prince but her first few obstacles still lay ahead. Like graduation, getting a job and slowly breaking free of her prison. May she and her prince stay forever strong...
