Hongbin
♖And all the pieces
began to fall into place,♖The night before had left Hongbin's mind in a disarray. He and a friend had gone on a little trip to delve into the mystery of the murderer 'Rose' who they suspected to be in the forest where they'd gone to. However, they had been separated that night and seeing the empty bed in their shared dorm the next morning made his mind go into a bit of hysteria.
Anxiousness fills Hongbin's head as questions about Sanghyuk's, his bestfriend, whereabouts and what could have possibly happened to him invaded his mind. These abrasive thoughts kept him from having a good morning. He forced himself to keep his composure, as the usual, and tried as hard as he could to think logically and optimistically, if only those two could agree.
Both, Hongbin and Sanghyuk are still going to college but their brains surpass the level they're in. Despite the difference in their personalities, age, and the distinction between their fields, they had one thing in common and that was the enormous amount of curiousity that they held.
Their interference with the case of this murdurer was their own choice believing their curiosity pushed them into exploring this mystery. Even though they understood the trouble they could get into if someone found out about them, that didn't stop the two from diving head on towards the danger of appeasing their curious minds.
The anxiety finally reaches into Hongbin's core, shaking him up badly, and suddenly, keeping still became a hard task for him. He paces around the room until a thought pierces through his disquietude, 'Maybe he went home.'
A few minutes later, he arrives in front of Sanghyuk's house where he stood awkwardly, scratching the back of his head as he hesitantly knocks.
Mrs. Han greets him with a big hug which he returns with a stiff one. She beams brightly, "Hello, dear! What brings you here?"
He opens his mouth to speak but gets cut off by the woman babbling happily, "Oh, and please come in. I baked some brownies for you and Hyogie---I miss that boy! He said he'll be coming home for Christmas but I can't help missing him. I'm his mother, afterall. I was planning on bringing this today--" she gladly handed the boy the brownies she newly baked, conveniently packed. "I'm glad you came, oh right, why were you here, again? Did you need something?"
That stops him from his tracks. Sanghyuk wasn't here. His mind races and he stutters, "No, no. Um, I-I was on a run and just thought of passing by. Uh, thanks for the brownies, Mrs. Han, I'll be going now!"
He went back to the dorm hoping his friend would be finally there to greet him but no luck. He heaves a sigh, telling himself that Sanghyuk's a tough kid. He could easily make his way out of whatever he was into. He held unto his phone tightly, waiting for a call or text from someone saying that Sanghyuk was fine.
