Sanghyuk
♕A thousand questions
unanswered♕There was something inside the plastic---a white paper with a rose drawn on it.
Hongbin dumbfoundedly stares at Sanghyuk when he sees the crumpled piece of paper. "What?" Hongbin bluntly questions as his eyes scan Sanghyuk's poker face.
Sanghyuk grunts at the obliviousness that the older male showed. "It's a rose!" he screams but immediately shuts himself up. The detective might still be out there, he thought. "It's a rose. Can't you see?" he repeats but his voice softer this time.
Hongbin raises his eyebrow and borrows the paper. As he looks at it closer, he notices the resemblance it had with the said flower. "You assume this is from 'Rose'?"
"Think about it, who would just leave a paper in the middle of nowhere with a rose on it?"
Hongbin mentally says to himself, He might be right and that does makes sense. "That's another clue then. Now, we have the white rose clues and that."
Sanghyuk's eyes glare at the lack of interest that Hongbin was showing. "What's wrong with you?"
Hongbin raises an eyebrow and merely shrugs, "Nothing."
"I know how the detective feels now," Sanghyuk mutters as he rolls his eyes. "Don't lie to me."
"Okay, fine. I kinda don't wanna continue this anymore. I mean, look what's it done to you!" Hongbin instantly surrenders to his friend.
Sanghyuk's eyes widen and he raises his eyebrows, surprised at what his best friend has said. Although, it immediately retreats to knitted brows. "Are you kidding me? This is what we signed up for. I was always ready to die just to find that person on a killing spree."
"We're college students, Hyuk. We weren't supposed to do this in the first place!"
"I know, but you agreed to do it anyways!"
Hongbin grunts. He knows Hyuk is right. He still wants to find that person but he values their lives more now that this has happened to his friend. "What if that murderer already knows you, or us? And they did this to you? He might be around the corner waiting for another opportunity."
"And that'd be great!" Sanghyuk genuinely replied that earned a scoff from Hongbin. "We'd have a better chance of finding him then!"
Hongbin then considers Sanghyuk's last words. "You're the bait? That's fine with me."
Sanghyuk violently disagrees at first but soon realizes that he actually is. But he didn't back down and simply shrugged it off. "Fine."
