"I_I'm sorry," she stammered, trying once again to extricate herself from his hold.

He tightened his grip on her and his deep chuckle beneath her ear vibrated all the way to her soul.

"Don't be sorry, I'm not. You were comfortable and I thought I'd let you sleep."

Wow. She was surprised that her boss was very caring. "I'm awake now." She said so that he could let go of her. She looked at him and noticed the drool on his shirt. Her face heated up in embracement.
'Could this day get any worse?' She thought to herself.

She reached into her bag and got her handkerchief and started to wipe her drool of his shirt. He chuckled and collected it from her, he held her hand making her to look up from what she was doing. Their face were a little inch apart she could inhale his minty breath. She loved his hold on her hand because it made her feel alive. She couldn't believe she was thinking about this.

"Don't bother doing it, I will do it myself or probably leave it because you have already cleaned it." He said giving her one of his favorite smirk.

She looked down ensuring that he will not see her face because she was currently blushing. She couldn't believe that her boss was flirting with her.

She looked lot at her wrist watch and saw that they had only ten minutes before they will reach their destination. She tried as much as possible not to look at him because she was sure she has embraced herself enough for one day.

When they came out of the airport a man in his late fifties was waiting for them in front of a black car. She assumed her was the driver of the company they will be visiting today. He opened the door for her and she slide in. Max sat on the other side. She thanked the driver and he gave her a small smile.

She looked out through the window of the car and loved the beautiful view London had to offer.

She was disturbed by a vibrating phone. She looked at the seat and noticed it was that of her boss. He answered the call and exchanged greetings with the person on the other end. She saw a little frown on his face after a few seconds. "Okay, we will see you tomorrow. Hope she get well soon." He ended the call.

"The meeting has been postponed to tomorrow because the manager's wife had a car accident and had to go and see her on the hospital." He explained to her. "So that means we will be staying in a motel that is close to the company so we can get there early tomorrow." Sandra nodded.

Max informed the driver to take them to a motel that was very close to the company.

After fifteen minutes the driver dropped them off in a motel and Sandra could see a huge company a few blocks away from the motel. She carried her bag while her boss tipped the driver. Max carried his suitcase and they entered the motel.

There was a young woman behind the counter. She greeted them warmly and Max asked her if they had two vacant room. She looked up from the computer screen.

"Actually, we have only one room with a kingside bed."

Sandra suddenly began to panic. "Please could you check again." The young woman smiled politely at her before looking back at the computer screen after a while she looked up.
"Sorry. This week's been booked solid for months. In fact, if we hadn't had a late cancellation, we wouldn't have had this room." She looked thoughtful. "I'd say the closest motel with rooms available would probably be a few town away."

Max shook his head. "We're both tired and according to her there is no close motel with vacant rooms."

Desperation began to claw at her insides. "We can't stay in the same room."

"You can have the bed and I'll sleep on the floor." He said. He paid for the room and she gave him the keys.

Sandra began to panic she could not stay in the same room with him because she don't know if she could handle being in the same room with her boss. He reached out and put his hands on her shoulders. "I agree it is a major pain in the butt but we can't have our own rooms. But we're both adults. We can handle this."

Her heart did a blackflip. Maybe he could deal with his situation, but she wasn't so sure about herself.
