I apologize in advance. ❤️

Two days has passed and Stevie hadn't been able to speak to Kristen or Lindsey. She was busy working in the studio and had made a lot of progress on the direction she wanted to go with the album. Again, she wasn't sure if she was going to release it; this album was more of a form of therapy and it offered her a release of all that has happened between she and Lindsey. Also, her feelings of seeing Lindsey slip away from his loved ones.

Stevie was in the studio with Lori and Sharon laying down their vocals. They were taking a small break; they were having a cup of tea and having dinner. Karen had joined them for dinner and they were talking and laughing and just having a good time.

Suddenly Stevie sat up straighter and she gasped. She put a hand over her heart and it felt as if she had lost her breath.

Lori and Sharon immediately grew afraid of what was going on with Stevie. Stevie had also gone pale and it looked as if she struggled to breathe.

"Stevie what's wrong?" Sharon asked as she grabbed Stevie's handheld fan and flipped it open then began to fan it back and forth to give Stevie some air. Lori patted Stevie's back thinking she was choking on her food. Karen had rushed to grab a bottle of water.

Just as quickly as that feeling had came it left; Stevie took deep breaths finally able to breathe again. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she herself was frightened by the sudden feeling that washed over her moments ago.

"I'm...I'm okay. I...I don't know what happened." Stevie said a she slumped back in her seat, trying to calm down. "I was so scared."

After a few minutes, Stevie's tears had dried and she feeling much better, but she still didn't understand what had happened.

Stevie couldn't concentrate on recording so she apologized to Sharon and Lori and told them that she was going home. Of course Lori and Sharon told her it was okay and they hugged her goodbye then they were on their way.

Karen drove Stevie home and Karen decided to stay with Stevie overnight; she didn't want to leave Stevie alone after what happened at the studio.

Stevie told Karen she was going up to lay down for a while. For some reason, she felt her energy had plummeted after that episode which she still couldn't explain.

An hour later, Karen's cellphone rang. She answered it recognizing Kristen's number. She listened intently then once she hung up she went to find Stevie.

Karen walked to Stevie's bedroom and before she knocked on the door, she took a deep breath to compose herself. She knocked and after hearing Stevie's voice telling her to come in, she opened the door.

Stevie was sitting on her bed looking through photos. When she walked into her room she felt the need to look at photos of her childhood all the way till recent.

Stevie looked up and smiled at Karen. "Yes?" She said.
Karen walked closer to Stevie and sat beside her. "Um...Stevie...Kristen called and..."
"What did she say? What happened?" Stevie asked as dread spread throughout her body.
"Stevie...Kristen wanted me to let you know that..." Karen didn't want to say it but it needed to be done. "Stevie...I'm so sorry. Lindsey...Lindsey is gone." She said her eyes filling with tears. "He passed away in his sleep a few hours ago."

Stevie stared at Karen in shock; at first she didn't move, she didn't say anything. She opened her mouth to speak but no words escaped her lips.

Stevie's body began to shake and she shook her head back and forth in denial. This can't be! It can't be true! Not Lindsey! No! But something in he told her it was true.

Finally Stevie began to sob, tears streamed down her cheeks. Karen moved closer to her and hugged her tight. Stevie sobbed into Karen's chest and hugged her back.

"What...what...happened to him?" Stevie asked as she sobbed.
"Kristen said that, Lindsey had said he was going to take a nap before dinner. Then when she went to call him, he didn't answer. She walked to their room and she tried to wake him up. But...he didn't wake up." Karen said as she cried. "She said she found an empty pill bottle on the floor and an empty glass on the nightstand."
Stevie pulled away and looked at Karen. She felt horrified. "You mean...he...he..." Stevie stuttered, not being able to say it.
Karen nodded and said. "Kristen wants you to go over. She wants you to be there with them Stevie."
Stevie just slumped over on her bed and continued to sob. "Karen...I need to be alone for a while, okay? Just give me some time then...then we can go over to...to Lindsey's."

Karen nodded and walked out of Stevie's bedroom. She closed the door behind her leaving Stevie alone as she requested.

Once by herself, Stevie reached over and grabbed a photo of herself and Lindsey. It was a photo of them that they had taken for their Buckingham Nicks album. They were so young and their love was so strong.

Stevie stared at Lindsey, her tears making it impossible to see

Stevie stared at Lindsey, her tears making it impossible to see. She caressed the photo and said as she sobbed. "Why Lindsey? Why did you do it? Why did you leave your family? Why...why did you leave me? Why?"

Again, I am so sorry for this turn of events. I don't know it just felt...I don't want to say the word right but, it's how I had envisioned Lindsey's ending.

I know I said this would be the last chapter but I split up this chapter so the next one will really be the final chapter.
