War. War never changes.
It always takes, it take those you love. But it also gives, it gives sorrow in return. It takes the lives of many, the lives of mothers and fathers, of sons and daughters, of brothers and sisters.

And it hurts. Oh how it hurts.

Birds chirped in the morning light, flying from their nest to catch their morning breakfast. Dogs barked up at them, thinking that maybe they'll catch them eventually. Fathers shoveled snow out of their drive way ready to start the day and kids played out in the snow laughing and chasing after each other with snowballs in their hands. Trees danced in the wind, sharing there collection of the sparkling white powder with the ground. Clouds passed by in the sky like cotton sailing in the wind. Bacon frying, leaving its smell to spread throughout the house slowly waking those still asleep.

What a nice paradise.

I should wake, start making breakfast. But I don't need to. Our Mr. Handy can do it. That's what they were made for. To clean and cook and make sure everything was ok. Even take care of you when you're sick. A lazy invention by someone too lazy to do the simplest of things. Where it took the places of wives and left them to wake to do their own things. Like go to the salon or maybe to go out with a friend. Or to stay in bed and enjoy the feeling of something soft caressing you're cheek. Soft. Like a pillow, or your husbands hair when you passed your finger through it before he left for work. Work. Husband. Work. Husband. Work. HUSBAND! OH SHIT!

I snap out of my sleep and sit up on my bed. I hear a silent chuckle and with my still sleepy eyes look to my left where my smirking husband laid. Victor Maximoff. The man who bumped into me at the diner I work in and made all the soda cups I had go flying of my tray, who was so shy to ask me out on a date that he tripped over a chair in his nervous rant. The man who no matter how annoyed he got you, you could never stay that way for long with that cute adorable face. The man who one day swept me off my feet and took me to the moon because he'd give everything for me. The man that currently laid next to me smirking like a jerk because he knew something I did but didn't at that moment.

"Good morning darling." He said in that cute British accent that I loved and hated at the same time. Mostly because he'd use it to make my heart flutter and turn my legs to jelly. "Forget something?" He said caressing my arm. I looked at the calendar. The one hanging on our wall that said it was Saturday, which meant no work because everyone was on vacation till after New Years. He woke me up on purpose, again. "I hate you right now." I said laying back down and throwing my blanket over my head. I heard him laugh quietly, lifting the blanket to join me. "You know Jarvis will come in if we don't get up." I groaned at the mention of our Mr. Handy and slipped my pillow over my head. "Do you not want to go out today?" He lifted my pillow and caressed my cheek again. "I'd rather stay here with you where it's nice and warm." I cuddled close to him, wrapping his arm around me.

I felt him caress my jaw and slowly make his way down my neck, giving me goosebumps. Looking up at him our eyes locked and he smiled and leaned his head down till his soft lips touched mine, bringing his hand to tangle in my hair. My hand came up to rest behind his neck, pulling him closer, his tongue sliding across my lips, I smiled and parted them to let his tongue find mines making me moan. Our kisses quickly grew frantic and hot, him hugging me closer. Such sweet bliss.

"Breakfast is ready!" Jarvis said floating through their open door. Wanda groaned, turning away. Victor chuckled and lifted the blanket away, letting the cool air hit their hot skins. "Oh my, did I interrupt." Jarvis teased. "I hate you both." Wanda said standing and heading towards the bathroom. Victor laughed and started making the bed. Jarvis slowly floated away back into the kitchen, humming a small tune. Victor looked around finishing the now neat bed, seeing that Wanda was still in the bathroom he smirked.

Wanda, finishing her daily pre-morning routine brushed the last bit of her hair and made her way into the bedroom. Seeing that Victor wasn't there and their bed was made  she assumed he was in the kitchen, so she made her way to the closet and opened the door, walking to her side and searched for something to wear. Little did she know that there was a figure slowly creeping closer behind her, arms reaching out. "Boo!" Victor shouted making Wanda scream. He started laughing and wrapped his arms around her. "You're such an ass." Wanda laughed. "I'll make it up to you." He told her lifting her chin and kissing her. Wanda didn't hesitate on kissing him back, turning in his arms to wrap hers around his neck, pressing him closer against her, deepening the kiss. The need for air came and he slowly pulled away, kissing her cheek and jaw then trailed heated kisses down her neck.  She shivered and gasped when he sucked on a sweet spot and brought her hand to tangle in his hair, pulling it softly. Suddenly the doorbell rang and Victor slightly pulled away, then continued. "You're not gonna answer the door?" Wanda asked him trying to keep her voice from shaking, feeling him shake his head. Then it rang again. "Sir it's Vault-tec again!" Jarvis shouted. Victor sighed and pulled away grabbing her chin and giving her a soft kiss. "To be continued." He whispered in her ear making her shiver again.

Answering the door he was greeted by a cheery man in a weird yellow coat. "Good morning! Vault-Tec calling! This is of a matter of utmost urgency. Are you Victor Maximoff?" The cheery man said, tipping his hat. "Yes." Victor sighed, leaning on the doorframe. "Ah! Well, congratulations sir! If you haven't noticed, sir, this country has gone to heck in a hand basket. If you'll excuse my language. The big kaboom is....it's inevitable, I'm afraid. And coming sooner than you may think. If you catch my meaning." The man hinted.

Wanda quietly walked through the hallway, stopping at the corner and poking her head out to see.

Standing straight, Victor glared. "What?" The vault-tec man swallowed nervously. "Y-you know, with the big w-war going on, it's very important that we prepare. S-so congratulations sir, you and your family have been pre-selected for entrance into the local vault. Vault 104."

"The vault? They finished it?" Came Wanda's voice, coming out of her hiding stop.

"Ah! This must be the wife, goodmorning ma'am." The man said. "Hi." She replied, wrapping an arms around Victor's waist, his arm instinctively wrapping around her. "I won't take much more of your time. Just need a little bit of information and I'll be gone."

"You finish here, I'll go make sure Jarvis hasn't burnt down the kitchen." Wanda said kissing Victor's cheek and walking away. "Very lovely." The man smiled. "Yes she is. I don't mean to be rude but could you hurry with this, it's Christmas and I would like to spend it with my wife."

"Oh yes of course! Wouldn't want her to wait." The man winked.

"Jarvis what did you cook?" Wanda asked the floating robot who was busy setting the plates down on the table. "Ms. Maximoff, for today I decided to cook something different. A hash brown pie. It has bacon, onions, and chive quiche with a hash brown crust. I'm hoping it's not too much."

"It sounds delicious." Wanda sat down at the table. "What sounds delicious?" Victor asked looking tired, leaning on the kitchen counter, hands over his face. Wanda stood and hugged him from behind. "At least he's gone. Now where's my Victor?" Victor lifted his head and turned, smirking down at his wife. "I think you might have to look for him"  He whispered in her ear. "Hey now, not in my kitchen." Jarvis scolded. Wanda smirked and backed away, sitting on her chair again. "Come eat dear, we have a long day." Victor smiled and sat on his chair, looking at the dish Jarvis made as he set it down. "That looks delicious."
