I'm not really a fan of Jeyna, but someone requested it, and I thought it would be cool to show Reyna's side of the story before everything with Hera happened.

Reyna's POV:

How did he do it?

Here I was, tearing my hair out, the skin under my eyes the color of Hades' underwear, and he was smiling and relaxed and looked perfect.

I glared at him from across the office we shared as praetors. In the corner, Octavian's smaller office was hidden by a purple curtain, but you could faintly see teddy bears lying around, waiting for their death.

"Hey, Reyna." Jason asked.

I looked up, nodding, "Yeah?"

"The local bakery suffered from water damage, so I'll need the funds book to check on how much money we can give them to help."

I tossed it over, not caring as it thudded on the table.

"Are you okay? You know you don't have to take every single job. We're supposed to help each other."

I looked up, glaring, my black braid whipping around, "We are praetors, not only of Camp Jupiter, but of New Rome as well. And so help me, I will not have you prancing around, acting about as useless as a Roman on a boat!"

"Hey, lighten up, will you?" he asked, lifting up my chin. His dazzling smile would make any girl fall to their knees.

I took a deep breath. I was taking out my anger on Jason, but he had always helped me, ever since he had joined me as a praetor.

I blushed, "Thanks. I'm sorry, I'm just stressed."

"How about you go and rest, get a hot chocolate, and I'll do all of this."

"No, I couldn't." I told him.

He leaned down, and his lips brushed my cheek for the slowest two seconds of my life, before he stared me in the eyes, "Go. Have fun. I'll finish."

I nodded, stunned into silence. He smiled at me again, and as I walked out the doors, my hand went to my cheek.

I could sense that change was in the air. I just wish I had known what kind of change.

WE ALL KNOW WHAT KIND OF CHANGE! BUT WE STILL LOVE YOU REYNA, AND SO DOES JASON, JUST IN A PLATONIC WAY!
