I need some new songs to listen to so it'd be great if you could recommend some things to me.

millie sat on a hard wooden park bench as she watched the sun lazily sink into the blue sky. it was a beautiful sunset, orange and purple painted the sky. it was a picture that no artist could draw.
it was unfortunate that she was viewing it through tears. she was tired, starving, lonely, and getting cold. during the day it was rather warm, but as soon as the sun went down it began to get much colder.
"hey babe"
the sudden voice startled her. she jolted around to see a curly haired boy smiling deviously at her. he looked kind of familier although she couldn't remember if she'd actually met him or not.
"what's poppin'?" he asked flirtatiously as he walked around the bench and took a seat next to her.
"who are you?" she retorted. the boy chuckled and then ran a hand through his thick hair.
"gaten is the name, ladies are my game."
millie tried her best not to burst out into a fit of laughter. she didn't know if he was purposely being corny or if it was on accident. even though he was weird, he seemed like a nice guy. he had a very kind face.
"you okay? you seem kind of down." gaten said, cocking his head and brushing a strand of millie's hair behind her ear. she flinched at the contact. the boy could tell she didn't like it so he quickly jolted his arm back.
millie shrugged. she wasn't okay, but she could never tell him that. "i'm fine."
"ah shit! i see my friends coming. i gotta go, they'd kill me if they saw me with a weirdo like you." the boy muttered unenthusastically. his friends didn't really care about his wellbeing. they were definitely not loyal.
after gaten left, millie felt it again. loneliness. she had nobody to care for her and nobody to converse with. she hated the feeling of loneliness. it tore her up on the inside.
the girl stood up and slowly began to walk with her head held low. she knew she had to go back home. although she didn't want to. if she was gonna be cold, lonely, and depressed, she wanted to be cold, lonely, and depressed outside. millie always loved the great outdoors. there was something about it that simply made her happy.
it was nearly pitch black when she arrived back at her small house. she felt her heart slowly start to thump out of her chest as she walked up the cracked stone path. when she got to the wooden porch, she noticed a note attatched to the door. she grabbed it and began to read it.
dear millie - the door is locked. you are not to come inside until tomorrow morning. this is your punishment for being disobedient.
her heart started to beat even faster and her head began to throb. what the hell was she going to do? if she stayed outside all night she'd get hypothermia. and she obviously couldn't go to a hotel because she had no spending money. there was only one place she could possibly go. finn's house. it was her last hope.

of course finn wasn't expecting millie to randomly show up at his door twice in the same day. so he was obviously shocked when he opened the front door to reveal a shivering young girl standing outside. she had her hands under her arms, her teeth were chattering, and she was shaking all over. without saying a word, finn pretty much pulled her inside. she was relieved to finally be in the warm house.
