Trolls Holiday (Jamie X Branch)

Chapter 8: The First Batch of Holidays

Poppy and Jamie opened the door and began to explain what they were doing.

"Lady and gentleman, we are here to solve your problems," Jamie explained.

"We have problems?" Bridget asked, confused.

"But don't worry. We have the solution," Poppy assured.

"You guys need a new holiday!" Jamie announced.

"Why do we need a holiday?" Bridget wondered.

"How else are you gonna get presents and wear awesome costumes and play 'How many marshmallows can you fit in your mouth?'" Poppy pointed out.

"One hundred and seventy-two. Beat that!" Cooper said, mouth full of marshmallows until one came out of his nose.

"M-- My goodness! Excuse me, h-- have you not been getting our cards back?" Gristle asked.

"Uh, yeah. I-- I especially love the Wednesday one. You know, it really made me appreciate the middle of the week," Branch answered.

(A/N HUMP DAY!)

"Ooh! Middle of the week. Told you, babe," Gristle cheered.

"Look, we care about you guys and we wanna make sure you have something to celebrate," Jamie explained.

"And here's the great news, the Trolls have like a gajillion holidays, so you can have one of ours!" Poppy added excitedly.

"That's cool! I guess," Bridget answered.

"Yeah, it is," Poppy and Jamie responded.

Poppy and Jamie were now being lowered down by wires as they began to sing.

[Poppy:]
"You're lookin' for a holiday
And there's a million things to celebrate"

[Jamie:]
"Your life is bland right now but that's okay
Prepare your minds to get blown away"

Then they sped up and Poppy was in a rainbow costume, Jamie was in a crescent moon costume, and Branch was in a sun costume.

[Both:]
"Holla"

[Branch:]
"Day"

[Both:]
"Holla"

[Branch:]
"Day"

[All Three:]
"Holiday"

[Branch:]
"Girls break it down"

[Poppy:]
"The first holiday
We're presenting to you a sparkly shiny day
Called glitter polooza"

[Jamie:]
"Homie Guy Diamond take the mic"

[Jamie and Branch:]
"And give the Bergens something they're gonna like"

[Guy Diamond:]
"When you wake up in the morning
Whether it's sunny or whether it's stormy
You open the door for a big surprise
A blast of glitter shoots in your eyes"

[All:]
"Glitter palooza glitter palooza glitter palooza"

They demonstrated it then threw a lot in Gristle's face, who screamed in pain.

"Ah! Oh, yeah. Oh, that got in there. Ooh! Aah! It's my eye," he exclaimed, blinking and holding his eyes in pain.

"Maybe the holiday is not really cool for us," Bridget told them.

"That's okay. We got tons of holidays," Jamie assured.

[Poppy:]
"Biggie, tell 'em about
Tickle Day."

Both Biggie and Mr. Dinkles demonstrated this.

[Biggie:]
"We celebrate with giggles
Get tickled, get tickled,
Get tickled by spiders
Tickle Day!"

They showed that then they shot spiders at Gristle, who freaked out.

[Branch:]
"Clearly not your idea of fun"

[Jamie:]
"Yo Satin Chenille"

[Poppy:]
"Show them another one"

[Satin and Chenille:]
"Everyone will scream hurray
In their electric foam parade
We got laser that sparkle and glow
So everyone enjoys the show

[Satin:]
And there'll be flowers shooting bubbles in the air

[Chenille:]
You'll be blinded by the lights but you just won't care

[Both:]
Flip a little switch get a bubble foam foam
'Cause a party ain't a party without lasers and foam"

They covered Gristle in foam then shot his eye with a laser.

[Gristle:]
"Ah! They sting!"

[Bridget:]
"These don't seem like Bergen things."

[Branch:]
"Okay not the holiday for you"

[Jamie:]
"It's all good we're only half way through"

"You gotta be kidding me!" Gristle commented.

[Cooper:]
"All your family and friends will gather around
To enjoy the majestic sound
A chorus you will hear from miles away
For 24 hours it's Balloon Squeal Day"

All the Trolls except Branch let balloons squeal. Branch then noticed how annoyed Gristle and Bridget looked.

"Hey, everybody, why don't we just take a cool five?" Branch suggested.

Then he attempted to smile, making Jamie stifle a laugh.

"Not workin'?" Branch asked.

"Nope. Still-- Still super weird," Poppy said.

"It's a start, though," Jamie told him.
