Chapter 15: "Until the End of Time"

Then Poppy got an idea and whispered it to Bridget, who nodded excitedly. Jamie raised an eyebrow in confusion and suspicion.

Bridget dropped them off on a rock by the Troll Tree and signaled to Gristle to stop, which he did. She also requested him to come here, which he did. She helped Branch off the keyboard and placed him on the rock with Jamie and Poppy.

"Everyone, there's one more thing we need to do for this special holiday," Bridget announced, smiled at Jamie and Branch, and continued, "We want to make it an annual tradition where Jamie and Branch sing a song for us. If they don't mind."

"PLEASE?!" Poppy begged.

Jamie and Branch chuckled and they looked at each other as the others encouraged them to do so.

"What do you say, baby?" Jamie smirked, wrapping her arm around Branch's arm.

"Oh. I don't see why not," Branch shrugged.

They all cheered and the couple went to the top of the Troll Tree so everyone could see them. The music then started and they began singing.

[Branch:]

[Jamie:]

[Branch:]
"Break it down one time"

They both harmonized as they gazed into each others' eyes and not once did they move their gaze.

[Both:]
"Cause if your love was all I had
In this life
That would be enough
Until the end of time"

Everyone cheered as Jamie and Branch let their foreheads rest on the other's.

"This is one of the best holidays of my life," Jamie whispered.

"'One of?' Which one is the best to you?" Branch asked.

"I don't just have one. There's a lot of my favorites, but they all have one thing in common," she explained.

"What is it?" he wondered.

"I've spent all of them with you," Jamie said.

Branch smiled as a single tear went down his cheek. Jamie wiped it with her thumb and they kissed passionately.

Narrator:
Branch and Jamie showed everyone that all kinds of love are in the air,
Especially during the holidays where there is so much care.
Everything was beautiful, by heart and by sight,
So happy holidays to all! And to all, a good night.

The narrator was actually Mr. Dinkles in a robe with a pipe in his mouth, reading from a scrapbook. Then Biggie walked in.

"Oh, there you are, Mr. Dinkles," he said, Mr. Dinkles squeaked, then Biggie asked as he held Mr. Dinkles, "Hang on, what are you wearin'? Is that a pipe? Who gave Mr. Dinkles a pipe?"

A picture popped up from the scrapbook, showing Bridget, Gristle, Poppy, Jamie, Branch, and the others all together from the holiday.

[All:]
"We have got to get together"
