Kung Fu Panda Stories

Chapter 6- "I hope I'm wrong."

Po slowly entered his room, careful to keep his eyes away from the panda-sized hole in the wall, he was not only afraid what would happen if he looked into it, but also what he would see, especially how strong that feeling was the previous night when Master Tigress was standing over him in the nude.

He lay in his bed, which he moved away from the hole, and tried to get to sleep, which was promptly interrupted by Master Shifu shouting for him through his door. In fright, Po fell out of his bed. Master Shifu sighed. "Get off the floor Po."

"Uh, sorry Master Shifu. Hnn...a little help here?" Shifu lifted Po off of the floor with his tiny hands.

"Now, I wanted to talk to you about something. Viper told me about what happened last night, and your reaction to seeing Master Tigress as she was, and I just want you to know, if what I think his happening is happening, it can't, it will effect your training, as well as Tigress'. Is that understood?"

"Viper told you?!"

"You're surprised? Someone was bound to tell me eventually."

"Yeah, but...ugh. That explains why she took so long to get those bandages in, while I bled...constantly."

"Yes, we think you lost about a pint of blood, Master Tigress really got you on that one. Amazing really, she never uses her claws in combat."

Tigress' ears perked up at this, a whole PINT. Holy shit. Is that what those things do? She thought, looking at her paw, extending her claws, she quickly retracted them again. She felt terrible now, she had taken a pint from him, and then, when the guilt wrapped around her, so did another feeling. That feeling is that same feeling Po was suddenly getting around her, the feeling that he thinks might have been love.

"I'm not sure if I'm thinking what you're thinking, but...I hope I'm wrong."

"I do too Po, I do too." And with that, the old master walked out, off to his own quarters.

Po tried to get back to sleep, but again, couldn't seem to even nod off. Too much was on his mind...again...eventually, about 4 hours later, he finally dozed off.
