hey guys. woah. so I haven't been on this account for like five-six months and I'm back and I see that like a lot of people actually started to read this book. and I just wanted to say thanks, it means a lot.but on the other hand, i have lost complete and total motivation for this book and will not continue to write it. BUT WAIT DONT EXIT OUT. I still remember the ending so I'll at least tell you that (because I hate when books end and I don't know what happens)
basically, marnie thinks the 'letter writer' is this guy who's kind of a social outcast, aka Jeremiah evens and starts talking to him to see, and they actually get along super well and becomes best friends, but the thing is marnie keeps getting these letters. she confronts Jeremiah on it and it turns out he doesn't have a clue who's writing the letters. while all of this is happeneing between Jeremiah and marnie, marnie has been paired up with lance Bennett for a project. they have to spend a lot of time together, and marnie thinks lance is some kind of jerk, but he is trying to prove to her that she isn't. and the more time they spend together the more time they learn to like each other. then one night lance gets into a fight and comes to find marnie, she really worried about him and stitches him up kinda thing. then they kiss. lance then proceeds to tell her he's the letter writer and gives her a letter asking her to prom.
Marnie is absolutely shocked, and had fallen in love with lance, in the letters and in real life.
so the night of prom, marnie is getting ready, she got a letter from lance telling her to meet her at the prom. Marnie spent all day getting ready with ivy and her mom, she was so excited.
fast forward she arrives to prom, and sees lance and her arch nemesis, Grace Crawford, making out on the dance floor. She goes up to lance and like yells at him but he only laughs. he reveals that the letter thing was a prank made up by him and his friends wanting to see if the schools biggest nerd would believe that the school most popular guy would actually fall for her. He then tells her he could never be with someone so ugly and weird and then goes back to making out with grace.
Marnie runs out crying, to the oak tree she usually sat at during lunch and cries. Jeremiah saw what happened, as did the rest of the school since they broadcasted it, and found marnie. he did beside her and they talk about really deep shit, and he makes her laugh.
Marnie realizes that the perfect guy was right beside her all along, even if he wasn't her secret admirer, Jeremiah was truly, hers.
