I went home with that boy circling my mind. I was going insane about Darnell. I'm glad we exchanged numbers so I can call him, 'whenever' he said. My mom was annoying with questions once I got home.
"Hey Honey" my mom said once I came into the house
"Hi mom"
"Sooo, how was it?"
Oh thanks for asking MOM! I wanted to quit, give up or run away. I wanted to hide, throw up, gag and MANY MORE!
"It was fine" I said, lying.
"Oh...okay. Well dinner is almost done, your brother needed you too."
"Really? Well okay" I said shocked.
My brother and I never really communicate. He has a whole different dad so we are just..strangers to each other. Strange right? Before I walk into his room, I see him just staring at the ceiling which isn't normally something he'd do.
"Hey lil' bro"
STOP THE NAMES CHLOE!!! YOU MADE IT WEIRD UGHHHH!
"Hey Chloe" he said as he got up and sighed.
"Mom told me you wanted to talk, what happened?"
"I dunno. Just this girl.."
I'm wasn't good at love...I'm still not good. Like what are relationship goals? A checklist of goals that you or a friend could do?
"Oh. Umm...you know I'm not good with lov-"
"She always looks and me. Then when I notice her, she smiles and looks away."
But I do know what it's like to have a crush on someone...
"She may like you but don't tell her right now. Just wait a while and see if your relationship switches or something"
"Okay" he looked down at the floor. "Thanks"
"Anytime"
I went out his room. And went to my room to text Darnell.
I hate breaking this news to boys I like, but I'm used to it. Which is bad, yeah and sad but...that's my life. I put my phone up and went downstairs to the kitchen, the smell of mashed potatoes filled the air...my favorite.
