Percy's POV
It happened too fast. I didn't realize what happened. I heard the gunshot. I heard the scream.
But it was closer than I thought.
He slumped forward. My eyes widened when I realized the gunshot was from behind and the scream was from me. I heard a door slam. I heard feet pounding down the hallway.
"Percy... tu sei il mio cavaliere."
My heart was beating too fast. Too fast.
"Nico, mi amo. Mi non lasciare."
"Mi amo, mi cavaliere."
"Tu sei il mio fantasma re."
Where did the Italian come from? Where did the bullet go? He looked up at me.
"Your... eyes... I loved them most. They... showed hope... when... there was nothing... left."
"Save your breath. Please. Your not leaving me. I won't let you go yet."
"Perseus Jackson, my knight in shining armor. I love you."
"I.... I love you too, Nico Di Angelo. My Ghost King."
He smiled. I felt the life leave him. I saw the gun that was dropped on the way out.
Bang.
Your not alone Nico. Not ever again.
