"Winter, Winter wake up." Winter woke up to Moon's soothing voice, her eyes still blinking rapidly in the morning light. "I know it's early but we have to go and get food to eat for tonight." Winter had the best doze last night, she didn't really have to worry about anything because in her mind she was a leader of anything she wanted to be. Her dreams were so distinct that she was puzzled that she couldn't remember her dreams. But then, she woke up to her cruel reality of being a street cat. "OK Moon," Winter was still a bit hazy but she stretched her back and got on her paws."Where are we going this time Moon?" Moon thought before he replied, "I thought that the best place to go is near the south of the forest, but not too close", he added in. "OK whatever you say Moon, lead the way." Long moments passed before Moon and Winter spoke again. The sky was becoming pale and snow was becoming to fall on them. Winter purred softly, bristling her shiny snow covered coat to Moon's dark gray one. Moon's blue eyes were warmer than the cold snow falling on their heads. "Are you okay Winter, we still have a few rabbit lengths to go." His voice trying to sound hopeful. Winter knew that she should just say she was OK for her brothers sake, but Winter couldn't help feeling sorry for herself. All her life she has been moving with her brother Moon. No where was safe for a couple of beat-up, scrawny, street cats.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Moon looked closely,  observing Winter's poker face. Finally, he gave up. He stopped and stared at Winter for a moment before speaking again. "You are a queen Winter, and you will live like one, count on me." Winter couldn't help but getting flustered until she heard the yowls of a bunch of loud creature's. "Don't Winter, don't." Winter fed into her curiosity, as she followed the sound which lead to a grassy, snow covered forest. Moon followed her, but he was too late. His eye's widened like the size of well- moon's. He looked over to Winter who also realized one thing: These cats are at war.
