Screams arose from the field of blood and fallen fur, Moon stood by Winter in horror, shielding her from the cruelty of the world.
A golden tabby limped over to the frightened duo, her eyes glazed with pain.
Winter rose her head to meet the golden tabby's eyes. Suddenly, Winter wasn't scared anymore. This fearsome battle played a special role in Winter's dream. Winter suddenly felt a urge to help the tabby. The golden tabby looked at Winter, narrowing her eyes. "What are you guys doing here?! Want to get killed?! Leave, leave!" Winter became a bit frightened again but she felt so close ...too close to let go. "Winter, we should go-no." Winter responded. "You have been making decisions for me all my life. Let me do something." Moon looked utterly confused about what she said. "Winter, don't you realize?! These cats are at war." Winter stared angrily at Moon, even though she knew he was right. "Moon, don't you think she would have killed us already if she wanted to." Winter was cocking her head towards the tabby. "No, I can't attack innocent cats." The tabby replied. "It's against the warrior code. But other cats here don't mind attacking cats like you." Moon looked sternly at Winter. "Hear that Winter, let's go." Winter suddenly became defensive, "What do you mean, 'cats like you'?" Moon was appalled with Winter's attitude. A final yowl rose. "Retreat, retreat!" Winter could see a group of cats running back into the depths of the forest. The tabby became a little worried but she started picking up her feet. "I have to go." Winter looked impatiently. "Wait, what's your name?" Without looking back, the tabby answered. "Lilyclaw." That was the last word spoken that day. Winter could see Lilyclaw''s coat rustle as she ran back to the depths of the forest.
