After a draining tour of the bunker, I finally get to sit down. The Bunker, they call it. I don't even bother asking why. All I know is no one gets in, no one gets out. The old man sits at the table next to me. He appears to be deep in thought, judging from the expression on his face. I observe him for signs of... anything. I scan for emotion, history, scars, bruising, anything that can prove he's human. His head is an ovular shape with a pointy chin. He has lovely dark brown skin. His cheekbones are well defined, though wrinkled skin threatens to drown out their shape. His mouth seems to naturally curl into a frown. He has crinkles around his now closed eyes, hinting that he probably used to smile a lot. His nose is sharp and juts out to a very defined point. His head is covered by a thin layer of white hair, swept to one side. He is of some African American descent. Overall, he could be a very good storybook villain. Suddenly, his eyes shoot open and he stares at me with a wild look. He smiles and stands up.
"Attention, attention! Ladies and gents, if you want to talk to Sage, please do so now. I'm sure he would enjoy the company." He turns back to me and winks, then strolls off.
The first person to talk to me is a boy, about the same age as me, I assume. He's gorgeous. I try not to get super flustered as he approaches. I don't know if I've ever talked to someone this pretty, male, female, or otherwise. He sits down next to me and sticks out a hand.
"Hi! My name is Raven. It's nice to meet you." He flashes me a killer smile as I shake his hand. I take a moment to observe his appearance. He looks like an honest to god model. His hair is jet black and sticks up in the front. It's messy is a good way. His face is more square, his nose is like a cute little button. I notice that he seems quite buff, though he's shorter than I am. The most defining feature about him is his eyes. They are a very pure crystal blue. They are stunning. His eyes are so soft, like this friendliness he exerts is true.
"So, you're Sage, huh?" He asks with a grin.
"Uhh, yeah. That's me." I reply, trying not to stutter. I have to stay chill.
"So Sage, tell me. How old are you?"
"I'm uhh, 16."
"I'm 15!" He looks excited.
"Let me tell you, Sage. I get the feeling we're going to be friends." He flashes a smile at me again. His teeth are perfect. Someone laughs across the room. He looks over at them, concern in his eyes.
"Well, I should probably get back to them." He says. He gets up and walks away before I can ask who 'they' are.
The second person to talk to me is an older woman. She looks to be in her 40s. She brings a young boy with her. He trails behind her, holding her hand. She has a seat and the young boy sits on the floor next to her.
"Hello, my child. I am Alexandria." Alexandria gives me a hug. She smells very nice. The boy gets up and gives me a hug too.
"Hi. My name is Xion. I'm 8 years old!" Xion smiles at me, he seems proud that he remembers his age. I try to smile back.
"Uhh, hi Xion, Alexandria. I'm Sage." Alexandria laughs.
"Oh dear, we know who you are. We've been waiting for you for a long time." She says, becoming more menacing at the end. It sends a chill down my back.
"W-waiting?" I stammer.
"Yes, son. Did Genny not explain it to you?" She looks disappointed.
"Genny?" I ask. Who's Genny?
"Genny. The man who first spoke to you. His name is really George. But most of us call him Genny. Xion here," she touched his shoulder. "Xion calls him Papa." Xion looks up at her and grins.
