Harry
"What the bloody hell, Aaron?" I demanded, storming into my uncle's office where he sat alone, typing away on his computer.
He didn't look surprised to see me. "Morning Styles," he answered calmly.
"Don't even start, I'm not in the mood." I growled.
Aaron finally tore his gaze from the computer screen to look at me. "What is it, Harry?"
"You know exactly what it is, Aaron," I sneered, pacing around the large room. "Why would you send people out to follow me? I've told you so many times to stop-"
"I've also told you so many times, Harry," he snapped, cutting me off, "If you start dating, you'll only put this girl in danger! But you just don't listen, do you?"
"Just stop talking because you're wrong, as always." I said through gritted teeth. "I'm not dating Faye so stop assuming things."
Aaron scoffed. "Yet. I know you, Harry, and I'm not saving this one if anyone gets her."
My blood instantly ran cold. "You shut the hell up right now." I growled, "And don't ever spy on me again."
With that I left the room, slamming the door behind me. I stormed down the empty hallway, my blood boiling, as I scowled at everyone who passed me. When I reached the front door, I roughly pushed it open and stalked to my car, getting in and driving quickly down the road.
I pulled up to the nearest pub, a shabby, unkept place named The White Swan. I turned off the engine and walked inside, taking in my surroundings.
The interior of the small pub was a lot better than the exterior, with it's red velvet stools surrounding the wooden bar, the cosy decorations and the expensive looking TV hanging off the wall which was surrounded by a load of drunk men yelling at a football game. 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' went through my head as I marveled at how different this place was on the inside.
I immediately stalked to the bar and ordered a large pint of beer. "Keep them coming," I mumbled, slamming a twenty pound note on the counter.
A few hours later I was probably too drunk to even walk, never mind drive. I was beyond wasted and I didn't even care. I laughed out loud; I guess Faye and I had really switched places after all.
"Hey there." I didn't even bother to raise my head to reveal the owner of this irritating voice. "I'm Ella," they continued.
"Go away," I huffed.
"You look like you could use some fun." Why was this person still talking?
I looked up. "What do you want?" I snapped, annoyed. This girl was obviously trying too hard to get attention with her irritating smile and dress that was riding far too low.
"I'm Ella." She repeated. "And you are?"
"Didn't anyone ever tell you not to talk to strangers?" I huffed, "Leave me alone."
"Oh come on, don't be so boring!" She squealed. Her voice was giving me a headache. I returned her smirk with a scowl.
"Are you going to leave now, or should I?"
"At least let me take you to the new nightclub and buy you a drink!"
Shouldn't the roles be reversed here?
"Do I have to spell it out for you? I'm not interested." I muttered.
"Pleeease?" She squealed, drawing out the word.
I looked at this girl incredulously; she sounded like a five year old.
"I'm so tired of boring people," she ranted on and I rolled my eyes. "My roommate used to be so fun and spontaneous but now all she does is work and read! I mean-"
"Alright! Fine! Just shut up will you? You're giving me a headache," I stumbled past the irritating girl, Emily or something, and out the door.
"Yes! I thought I would have to drag you to the nightclub or something!" she cheered.
"If you say one more word, I'm calling a taxi and going home." I slurred, extremely annoyed. I then followed Emma, I think it was, to the nightclub.
Faye had been completely right, all those months when I disagreed with her about drinking. Alcohol really was the perfect cure for overthinking and unwanted memories.
I'm not saving this one if anyone gets her...
I'm not saving this one...
I threw my head back and downed another shot of vodka, simultaneously drowning out Aaron's voice in my head.
