Chapter 1
Hello there, I'm Elsa. Queen of Arendelle but commonly known as The Snow Queen. Don't bother addressing me formally. I'm not comfortable with my friends calling me that. And 'The Snow Queen'? Seriously? Call me that if you really want a gigantic snowball to your face.
People will be like,
"Sometimes you should really act like your sister, Anna. You're just too cold at times."
Well, I might not be as joyful as Anna but that's just who I am. And I'm happy with that.
Back to the story, it's been a few months now ever since the 'I set Arendelle on an eternal snow thingy' and it's finally winter now.
People said that this is the 'perfect weather' for the Snow Queen but spring, summer or autumn, I love all seasons just the same way. Just because I'm the 'Snow Queen' doesn't mean I like winter the most, of all you know I like summer the most. Irony much?
I got really close to Anna these days and she has been knocking on my room door frequently to talk. Well, I've been shutting her out for almost a decade now and there's so many things I don't even know about her.
She's been telling me everything I missed being outside my room. How she pranked all the workers in the castle, sliding down the stairs and doing things she shouldn't be doing as a princess.
Oh Anna, how could I ever leave the castle without worrying about you?
Anna and Kristoff? Those two lovey-dovey are still together now but it's just that now Kristoff is still working as an ice delivering man-even in the winter.Yes. That doesn't make any sense but people need these ice more that you think. People living in the forest need these ice to make igloos during the winter so Kristoff has to work harder during this time of the year but don't worry, on most of the days in the week he spends time with Anna.(I made sure that he did)
Anna always teases me, "Don't you'd think that it's time to find for your true love? I mean, we need a king right, Elsa?" She would ask me that same question every single time and every time she does, she gets a snowball right in her face.
I mean, it is not easy to find love, let alone true love. My position as Queen of Arendelle makes every princes and dukes from every part of the world come rushing to me. Do they want my love or they just want the throne, the title of King of Arendelle? I guess you should know which one I'm talking about.
Being a queen is not all good either. There's the opening gates party almost every week and that's when people that don't want me as queen gets the opportunity to kill me. The goods and bads being a ruler: Not all your subjects will like you regardless how much you try your best to improve their lives.
One party I found out that the food that was supposed to be served to me was poisoned. How did I know? Instinct, I guess? It turns out that my instinct were true most of the time so to make things easier, I won't touch any food during the party.
Oh well, Anna likes the party and I don't want to see her being upset again. When she gets upset, it pained me because I felt that I did not do my job as her sister properly. As time passed, it slowly became one of the fears I have in me. Fear affects my control of my power and if I don't control it, it will consume me one fine day.
These days, fear come knocking at my door more often. But for now, I'm still the one in control. I'm not so sure what will happen to me in the future though. I've been having nightmares almost every night. At one point I woke up screaming so loud that Anna came rushing into my room.
"Another nightmare?" She sat beside me.
"Yeah" I hugged my knees.
Anna let out a breath and smiled. "Don't worry, for I shall be here to chase the monsters away!"
" No, no. You don't have to. I'm alright."
"If you're planning to chase me out again, forget it. Because I'm not going to let that happen." she quickly went under the blanket and curled into a ball.
Just when I wanted to say more, the sound of Anna's snoring made me went speechless. She can really sleep, eh?
I sighed and made sure that the blanket covered her completely.
"Goodnight, Anna." I whispered.
Anna slept beside me for that night. I didn't get any nightmares that night probably because I hardly sleep.
But it does feel safer thought, having someone beside you on these lonely nights and according to Anna, it chases bad monsters away. I stroked Anna's beautiful strawberry blonde hair. Thanks, Anna.
And I did some thinking in that process.Anna's getting worried and I can't let it continue like this.

The next morning, I told Anna and Olaf that I'm going to the mountainsides to learn to control my powers even just a little bit.
Their eyes widened and their jaws dropped straight onto the floor. They both hugged each of my legs, prevent ting me from moving any further.
"Elsa, I can't let you go there! It's too dangerous! There's a lot of wild animals there!" her blue glittering eyes looked into mine.
"I'll be fine, Anna. It's just one week and you'll do fine here too. Just make sure no one knows that the queen is gone." I put my hands on her shoulders.
" You can count on me." she smiled while placing her hands on mine. Her eyes were filled with determination. I have nothing to worry about.
I put Anna in charge of Arendelle. I really hope that she doesn't get into any trouble in my absence. Olaf insisted to follow me but i told him not to. Well, if I lose control of my powers, at least I will not harm anyone there.
"But Elsa, I'll make sure I won't get in your way, I promise." the sad snowman said before I leave the castle.
"Olaf, I don't want anyone to follow me. I want you to stay here and help Anna. She needs you more."
"But-"
"Shhh..." I placed my finger on his mouth.
"My decisions are final." He finally sighed and gave me a hug.
Anna came to me after that and gave me a tight hug. "Just don't get into trouble, promise me."
"I promise" I said. I put on my long robe with a hood and walked out from Arendelle quietly. I don't want anyone to know that I left the castle because Anna might be in danger with the absence of the queen.

The journey up to the mountain was good. There is no blizzard today and weather was good for a snow hike. I reached my old ice castle and it is still standing strong. I entered the castle and saw my old snow monster, Marshmallow, wearing my old crown dancing around in the castle.
"It's been awhile, old buddy" Marshmallow got startled. She recognized her old owner and ran to me. She was grumbling languages that I do not understand but I have a feeling it said, "I missed you."
"I missed you too, pal. I'm going to be here for a week. Be sure you take care of me ok?" I grinned. She nodded and lied down at the door at my castle. I decided to call it a day and went upstairs to my room. "Sweet dreams, buddy." Marshmallow grumbled and started snoring. I slept in no time and I had the best sleep I've ever had in ages.
So, that's the end of Chapter 1 and I hope you liked it. Pardon me for all my spelling and grammar mistakes because I had no time to check it. I know in this chapter Jack is not here yet. Be patient, he'll come soon ;D.
