Chapter 5

I must have slept soundly because I didn't realise that we've already reached our destination. I woke up when I heard a woman's voice.

"She's so beautiful. I wonder what her teeth looks like? I bet they're white and pretty. Urghhh! I can't wait to see her teeth!" she squealed.

Wait, what? Teeth? I opened my eyes slowly. I saw a lady covered in colourful feathers talking excitedly to the little creatures in front of her. Bird? No, not a bird. Bird woman, perhaps?

"HI THERE!!!" she flew right towards my face. Her bright pink eyes were fixed on my eyes.

"GAHHH!!!" Yes, I was frightened. Like, what would you react when you woke up to a bird-like woman right in front of your face?

"Oh my gosh, her teeth are BEAUTIFUL! It's as white as snow!" she said excitedly to the creatures floating beside her. They squealed in a high-pitched voice as a sign of agreement.

I'm still confused. Where am I? Where is Jack? And who is this bird-woman in front of me?

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm Toothania, known as the Tooth Fairy. But you can just call me Toothy. And this are my fairies, Baby Tooth" the little creatures waved and squealed in excitement.

"Now, now. Hold your horses. I know her teeth are beautiful." the baby tooth backed up a little, before squealing for another time.

My eyes widen. "You mean as in the real Tooth Fairy?!" I've just heard stories, but I've never knew that they really exist.

"Well, the one and only." she smiled. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Elsa." I forgot to introduce myself.

"Oh my gosh, Elsa. You have such beautiful straight teeth. I bet there's tons of memories stored in it!" I smiled. "Oh, you wait here for a moment, I'm going to get Sandy." she said as she flew to the door. I wanted to follow her.

I managed to get down from the bed, forgetting the fact that I can't walk. My legs felt like jelly and I fell, knee-first on the floor. Toothy gasped and quickly flew to me.

"Here, let me help you." she helped me up and place me back on the bed. That was embarrassing.

"Just rest a while. I'll be back soon." She said as she flew out quickly. I totally forgot that I can't walk. I thought that it was just a dream. A very bad dream. Ice spreads out from my legs as I stared at my legs. The next thing I know, I froze the whole room. Oopps.

Jack came in after a few minutes. I felt relieved looking at his face. He realised that the whole room became ice and stared at me.

"I see someone started freezing things again..." he smiled and slammed his staff softly on the floor. The ice began disappearing. I didn't know that he could do that.

"Well, this is what happens when I can't control my powers." I looked down, feeling bad. Jack sighed and came closer.

He placed a hand on my shoulder. "Everything will be fine. They are all my friends. Trust me." I looked up and our eyes met. He gave me a silly grin and turned to the door. I felt my cheeks heating up again and quickly looked away. Damn it, what is this feeling? I hate it.

Toothy then came in with a man. The man is short and his whole body is covered with gold dust. He gave me a huge smile when he saw me.

"This is Sandman but you can call him Sandy. He can't talk so he uses pictures to communicate." Jack said. Sandy nodded and gave me a thumbs up. I smiled. "Hi there, I'm Elsa." He nodded again and waved.
