Ciel woke with a gasp. The fact that he was awake tore him apart. How could he have survived that?! The first thing he noticed was the fact that the room he was in, was not quite what he imagined death would look like. He sat up and looked around.

"What...?" He thought, slightly confused.

"You're awake."

Ciel whipped his head towards the voice.

Grelle Sutcliffe.

"Wh-What are you doing here?!" The teen stammered.

"I live here kid. You're dead. A Grim Reaper. Now, there's a lot of work to do, so get your ass out of bed before Will has mine."

It was odd, Ciel thought, that Grelle was acting like an adult, and not a child.

"Wait..."

Grelle turned around, looking slightly annoyed.

"What do you want?"

Ciel sighed, "Never mind."

Grelle quickly left the room, leaving Ciel alone with his own thoughts.

Why was Grelle so childish when around Sebastian? Why was she so scared of Will?

Ciel rose from the bed, taking in the decor. He slowly walked over to the door frame, looking out it.

"Hello?" He called.

Grelle came running, giving Ciel a dirty look.

"What do you want?"

Ciel tried his best to explain that he wanted to go home, but Grelle wouldn't have it; this was a punishment from god!

"Ciel! Stop being a brat! You did this to yourself! Unless your boyfriend kills himself, you will never see him again!"

Ciel sighed. His head was throbbing, and he wanted nothing more than to just sleep.

He followed Grelle out to a large conference room, where William was waiting for them.

"Ciel Phantomhive..." he growled

"Yes sir," Ciel answered.

"Grelle. Stab him."

Ciel's eyes widened as a blade was plunged deep into his chest.

"Ah-Ahh!!" He filled the room with the sound of his cries, falling to his knees.

"Toughen up Phantomhive!"

Ciel struggled to his feet, letting out a light whine.

"Hurts..."

"You'll suffer far worse kid!" William shouted.

The young Earl noticed his wound quickly healing. He put his hand on his chest, and it was completely fixed.

"Wh-What...?"

"You're a reaper kid. You heal instantly."

Ciel gaped at the older man, his eyes widening as he realized that he wasn't Ciel anymore.

"S-Sir... is there any way to see Finny again?"

"I mean, if he commits suicide."

The Bluenette buried his head in his hands, hoping that he never had to see Finny again, but wishing he could.

"Now, take him to the office." William commanded to Grelle, who obeyed and took Ciel down to the conference room.

"This is where you'll get most of your work done, kid."

Ciel nodded, surveying the room.

It was a large space, with a large table and some chairs. Grelle's stuff was all over the table, and she quickly went to clean it all up.

"Grelle?"

"Yeah?"

"Why can't I see?" It was true, that Ciel could barely see. Everything was blurry, and had gotten worse as he was walking.

"Oh, I didn't tell you? All reapers have god-awful eyesight. You'll need glasses." She reached into her purse, "Try these."

Ciel put the deep blue glasses on his face, and immediately was able to see everything perfectly.

"Now, we'll just need to train you up a bit."
