Slughorn was now Potions perfesor and Snape was DADA teacher. Slytherin's have potions with Gryffindor. I walked with Eadlyn, Draco, and Blaise to the Potion class room. "Its going to be weird not having Snape as our Potions professor" Draco said Blaise nodding in agreement.
"Only cause you wont get favoritism anymore" I remarked with a smirk. "Oh don't worry Draco Snape will still favoritism you, just a DADA" Eadlyn added on to my comment with a fallow up smirk. Blaise started laughing while Draco scolded at us.
We arived at the Potions class and sat down on the 'Slytherin' side of the class. The other students shortly arrived and I smiled at Harry, Ron, and Hermione. They smiled back at me. Slughorn enterd the room and waved his wand setting up the class.
"Who can tell me what this potion is" Slughorn asked. "Amorieta Potion sir the smell is differnt to everyone because it it smells like what you desire most" Hermione answerd. "Verry good Granger, 5 points to Gryffindor. "Now who would like to tell me what they smell" Slughorn questioned.
"I smell Freshly cut grass, fresh parchment, and Mint toothpaste" Hermione said blushing." " I smell Lavander, oranges, lemons, mint, ocean air, pages of a book,and chocolate" I spoke up after smelling the potion. Mint and ocean air? that's kind of what Harry smells like.....
"Very good, now you all will be brewing a batch of Liquid Death, who ever brews the best batch get a vile of Liquid luck, good for 3 hile hours of good luck" Slughorn said. I pulled out my couldrun and opened the text book to the a signed page. The beans were flying around the room. "Harry your suppose to cut not crush" Hermione hissed.
I looked at Harry puzzled. Hmmm I wonder.... I did read in a more advanced potion book the best way to get the juices out of these beans is to crush them. But it dosent say to crush in the book. Letting my cauldron heat up I walked over to Harry. "Harry what are you doing" I asked looking at Harrys book.
"Brewing, I looked at this book and someone has written corrections, they seem to be working better than the original instructions" Harry responded. "Interesting" I said walking back to my desk. Smart student cause these instructions arnt working for Hermione.
I'm glad I still have that potion book with me from the library. Its like a dictionary only for potion ingredients. It shows you the best way to use each ingredient and the definition of different noted potions. Reading through the potion Dictionary and the instructions of the original book I sucesfully brewed a Liquid Death potion.
Evryone looked annoyed and exploded on. Hermione's hair is more bushy than normal. Slughorn tested everyone's potions. The only two people that actually managed the potion wonderfully is Harry and I. The author of the text book needs to re-write it, I'm glad I looked at my Potions Dictonary other wise I would have failed. However Harry had a 'modified' textbook.
"Very nice, well done Dumbledore and Potter, well done, I'm glad I have extra Liquid luck cause you both earned it" Slughorn said happily handing Harry and I a vial of Liquid Luck.
After class I caught onto Harry. "Harry did you fallow every 'modification in the text book" I asked. "Ya, this person is incredibly skilled, and look there's spells listed in here too" Harry said interested. "Well thats a briliant book cause I used the Potions Dictionary I'm barrowing from the library to make sure I was doing everything right, cause the original book is not entirely up to date" I said.
"Who's book was it" I asked Harry gesturing to the text book he was still holding. "Its says property of the Half Blood Prince" Harry responded and I nodded. We walked to the great hall for lunch and split off to go to our tables. Classes went on but I was still thinking abot the potions book that Harry had. And who is the Half Blood Prince?
