Daniels life was like a Ferris wheel; and oh boy did Daniel hate his Ferris wheel.
Background information
Daniel Seavey was a eighteen year old boy. He played so many instruments, more than you could count on your two hands. He was also in a band, made up of himself and four other extraordinary members; Jack Avery, Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson and Zach Herron. The other boys are wonderful people, just after what Daniel did, they are broken.
Daniel Seavey was your crush. Daniel Seavey was your best friend. Daniel Seavey, is dead. Isn't he?The story
2 days prior
You had just woken up, another early morning for a boring day of school. Stupid laws and shit. Once again though, you pulled through, putting on your usual hoodie and ripped jeans and brushing your matted hair into something that didn't look as much like a birds nest as it did. You quickly grabbed your phone and school bag and walked into the kitchen, where you took a piece of fruit and kissed your mother (or guardian's) cheek before leaving the house and walk-in to school, as, lucky for you, it was just a few streets away. You got there and quickly went to your locker, gathering the books required for your first classes: English-literacy and history. You walked to your very best friend and potential eye-candy, Daniel Seavey's locker. You had a crush on Daniel, although you could never tell Daniel, because it isn't appropriate. Daniel Seavey was 1/5 of why don't we, a very new band who had only just really started out. They had met up a few times but they were only at the start of their career and they were all at their family homes, focusing on the last of their schooling, or saying goodbye to their schools, like Zach. You and Daniel were like the opposite of cliche best friends. You never went out to the movies or stayed at home and watched tv marathons. It was always you helping Daniel, being the type of counsellor, Daniel wished his parents were paying, the type of counsellor Daniel needed. When you got there, you didn't see Daniel and you felt a little uneasy, he was only ever away when he was bed ridden with his depression. Yes, depression. You sighed lightly and pulled out your phone, calling Daniel. Daniel answers and your mood lightens a little
"Yes Y/n?" He says quietly.
"Are you okay?" You ask worried.
"Yes, I am okay, I'll be at school at the end of the day to pick you up, okay?" He says, once again so quietly.
"Okay Daniel. I love you, see you later." You say your mouth inches away from the small microphone in your phone.
"Love you too Y/n." He says, then hangs up. You couldn't contain the butterflies in your stomach when he said those words, you two always said them but every time, the little winged bugs flutter and flutter in your stomach creating a beautiful yet uneasy feeling. You went through your day, keeping to yourself, just like you and Daniel normally did.
At the end of the day, you went out to the car park and waited for Daniels car. You saw him pull up and you put a small smile on your face as he opened the door for you. He looked, different.
Rather them wearing his normal comfy casual clothing, he was wearing all dark clothes and a pair of dark sunglasses. He looked different, too different. You got in the car and he went round and got back in the driver seat. You sigh happily as he grabs your hand and squeezes it. Yes, you and Daniel had a strange friendship, many people thought the two of you were dating. You held hands and he would lay on your lap and you would lay on his, just like a couple. What really made people think you two were a thing, was when Daniel would kiss the top of your head.
"I-I was thinking we could go to the diner and get something to eat, then go to the park again? I just want to talk." He says and you nod happily.
"Sure Daniel, that sounds perfect." You say giving him a small smile. He returns the smile, although it doesn't match his eyes and you realise, it never really does. Today his blue eyes looked cold, like a wet rainy day, instead of the normal ocean blue on a particularly sunny day, the sun glistening off of them creating tiny little diamonds an- dammit, you thought too much of his pretty eyes again.
Still you notice the sparkling smile from the pretty boy with the grey-blue and upset eyes. Daniel ignores the silence and drives to the diner, the one where you and Daniel would go and get burgers and milkshakes every Friday, even though today is Tuesday. So you both order your usuals and sit down, while Daniel fumbles with his hands and you sigh. Daniel looks up at you, watching you as you look out the window. You don't notice this though and Daniel frowns, knowing how hurt- knowing how happy you'll be to know that he didn't have another depressive episode in the morning. He wipes the frown off of his face just as the waitress brings back your food. Daniel gives the middle aged lady a small smile as she walks away. You instantly take your milkshake and take a sip of it, moaning as the flavoured and creamy drink goes down your throat.
"This milkshake is so goooood." You say, taking yet another sip of the drink.
"They always are." Daniel says, drinking a mouthful of his own drink.
