"He burned her to death..."

My tears try to threaten me as I think back to the moment I wrapped my arms around Zaleas quivering body. I've never seen Zalea in such a state, it shattered my heart that she had wittiness the death of her friend, or rather my very first/ second Grandmama.

I'm currently in my living room staring off into the wooden floor boards, seeing last nights tender moment replay before me. It slowly fades when two small green 'Slytherin' slippers stands before me.

My eyes lift up to see a tired looking Alani wear her signature bed head and pink checkered pyjamas, her face still and emotionless as she looks down at my staring state.

A white envelope is held tightly in her small hands as she stretches it out towards me, I nibble on my bottom lip as I take it out of her hand and read my name and my colleges name on it.

"Is this... my results?" I ask nervously as I rip open the seal to get into it. Alani nods her head slowly and takes a seat next to me on the leather couch.

I pass it over to her and let her read my results first. I watch her read every word to herself and constantly wish to be able to read her mind.

A small tingle inside me starts to grow along my veins as it starts to expand deeper so that it almost reaches my skin.

I wonder if...

I breath in a deep breath and try my hardest to concentrate on the tingling and wanting to enter her mind. My mind starts to ache at the pressure I put on it as a small hum tries to enlarge itself around my thoughts, the tingling bursting through my skin.

It slowly fades as I give up on wanting to try and connect with my so called 'gift'. A deep sigh simply flows from my lips when I hear a soft word enter my mind.

'Passed'

My gaze slowly turns onto Alanis emotionless face as I slowly gather the delicate muffled words that flow around my thoughts.

'She passed...'

Is what I make out as the muffled voice becomes more aquatinted with my mind, its voice sounding very familiar. I apply more pressure on the tingling force, trying to make out the voice when something occurred to me.

'Alani?'

Without giving me any sign of a heads up she jumps out of the seat beside me and into my arms, her head twisting and turning frantically around us as she lets out a breathless gasp. An invisible wave of power shoots out in front of us, massaging my skin smoothly, acting like a shield of protection around us.

'Alani.'

I put more pressure onto the delicate voice as I watch Alani slowly turn to me with a cocked up eyebrow. 'You're reading my mind?'

I nod my head with a gentle smile. 'I think I've got the 'reading minds' part down... well I think so, anyway...'

She lets out an excited yelp and throws her arms around me in a suffocating hug. "I knew you could do it, eventually. Thank Time, for everything. Father and Mama would be so proud, Nunu!"

Her outburst of praise makes my heart skip a beat with unconditional love as she mentions our parents.

"Áron said that we just had to be patient, and he was right." Her smile beams from ear to ear. "Oh and congrats on passing your exam, Nola."

I didn't mean to blank out what she says, but when I hear Árons name my heart sinks. I let out a sigh as I think back to the night I had after that crazy dream, that in fact turned out to be my past memory. The information that came after that fascinating experience left me a little... uneasy.
