Chapter 4: Can't Get You Outta My Head

I glance out the front doors and see my stepmoms car outside. " Well, I've got to go, my stepmom is here." I say, pointing to the door.

"Oh, okay. Well, I'll talk to you  later, I guess." He says, kind of disappointed.

"Yea, okay. Bye." I say, waving as I walk out.  

"Bye." I hear him say just as I get out of the door. I walk a couple steps so I'm out of the way. 

"Fuck, I'm in trouble. " I say to myself shaking my head as I walk. "What am I getting myself into? Everyone is going to kill me for this. And I'm thinking that I might actually get him to like me? Whelp, that's never gonna happen." I put on a fake smile as I approach my stepmom's car.

"Hey, how was your day?" She asks as I climb into the car.

"It was like every other Friday before thanksgiving break." I say, trying to keep my mind off of Quinn, the only guy in the school who could actually be Mr. Perfect, making me accidentally blush a little.

"Okay, what was that?" my brother asks

"What was what?" my stepmom asks.

"Nothing, just thinking about stuff that happened at school today"I chime in before my brother could explain any more. I've got be more careful when I think of stuff like that for this next week. Oh, yea. Did I forget to mention that he did this to me the Friday before thanksgiving. Yeah, so that's fun.

Quinn's POV

This girl is driving me crazy. She ran into me and my buds as we were walking down the hallway after school. I turn around and i see the most beautiful girl ever. I don't know how I didn't see her before. I don't think she's new, but I could be wrong. After her friend left, I ran over and introduced myself, properly. She was laughing when I got there. It actually took a lot of courage to ask her, because I mean, damn. She was hot, but not overpowering. It was a cute kind of hot, ya'know what i mean? So when I talk to her, she has the mot fitting name ever, Jewel. And her sense of humor is amazing, she's just my favorite person in the world, but for the next week, I'm going to her stuck in my mind.
