Chapter Three

Aaron POV:
I wake up to the smell of cooking, I get up slowly "Good morning little bro!" I look at her "Still a vampire I see..." she says "Lucinda's cure is not ready." I go hug her "Are you ok...?" I say "I'm just worried about you..." she hugs me "I'll be fine." knocks are heard "I'll get it!" I yell "Lucinda no!" she opens the door. Princess Aphmau is at the door in her vampire form, I grab my gun "Aaron!" I yell "One of her guards bit my sister! I'm not afraid to kill her!" the princess says "Aaron please, let me explain!!" I yell "EXPLAIN ME WHAT?" she says "I need to tell you the truth please!" I put the gun down "Our fathers were good friends, they wanted us to be friends. I had a talk with mom about that. They want us to marry." I drop my weapon "No... you're lying." she says "I did not want that either. Ever since I was 15, I have been watching you and Melissa." we look at her with shock "After a few years, I fell in love with you. You are a great guy, with a brave personality." I feel a blush on my face "I am sorry for what happened yesterday... Vince told me that he fell in love with you. I told him to stay calm and not bite you, but he didn't listen..." I sigh "I enjoyed our date, but I know you hate me now..." I look at Melissa, then at Lucinda "Let's go somewhere private." we go outside to talk. We sit on the grass "Why were you watching me all these years?" she says "I wanted to see what king of guy you are." I say "If I'll marry you, I'll be the king and have to be a vampire." it will be a big change for me "You don't have to, unless you want kids." I blush "Ok, i'm going inside." she laughs "I'm sorry!" I cover my face "Can we eat?" I close the door "The food is ready." I sit on chair "Bacon for my sweet brother. I hope you like it." I eat it like a wolf "I want eggs, thank you." I look at her to see how she eats. She eats normaly for a vampire "Are you looking at me??" I look away "No" she giggles "The cure's almost ready Melissa, you'll be human very soon." I smile "Thanks!" Aphmau says "Maybe you should stay vampire, since you two will move in my village and-" I cut her off "We can't, i'm sorry. I won't be a good king." she gets sad "I am sure you will be." I shake my head "Ok..." I finish my breakfast "I'll go out for a bit." I go outside with Alexander. I sit at the backyard to watch him run around and jumping "I can't be a king, I can't be a vampire. Why would father want this?" I look at the sky "Father... I need a sign from you." I sigh "Aaron..." I look at my right "Your father left you a letter before he died." she gives me a letter "Thanks Lucy" she leaves, I open the letter, then read it in mind slowly:

Dear Aaron,
If you read this, it means that i'm dead. I have something to confess to you and I don't know if you'll agree. I was really good friends with Zack, I don't know if you remember him, he helped me a few times at hunting. His wife Sylvana and your mother were best friends, I heard them talking about you and Aaron and Melissa, they wanted you three to meet and be friends. Sometimes I saved Zack and he saved me, we never wanted our friendship to end, so we thought about a crazy idea: you and Aphmau at your wedding. Remember the story? The one about the vampire village I told you? It might be a shock the next thing I'll say, unless you already found out: they are the king and queen of vampire village... me and Rachel were shocked, but it did not stop our friendship. I want to ask a favor: please be friends with Aphmau, I want you and Melissa to accept her, to like her, don't be enemies. Your mother and hers wanted you to get married, it was too soon for that. Even if you don't want to marry her, at least be friends. I love you and Melissa and I do not want anything bad to happen to you or her...
Remember, we'll always love you, we'll be watching over you both with Irene...

Tears fall on my face "I do not want to disappoint or make father sad. Should I trust Aphmau? Maybe I should." I get up and go back inside "Don't drink the cure." the girls looks at me "Aaron?" I look at the princess "You promise that your kingdom is kind and not hungry for blood?" she puts a hand on chest "I swear on my life." I say "Looks like we got a new house." she jumps happily, I look at Lucinda "Keep the cure, maybe someone will need it." Melissa says "It will be fun to meet new people~" Alex jumps on her "I forgot to mention that he likes pretty girls." Melissa giggles "I will go pack sister." she smiles "I need to pack as well." we go to our rooms to pack "This might be a new adventure."

*an hour later*
"This will be so excited! Melissa, I will invite you to all of my sleepovers with the girls, we'll be best friends forever! Are you excited?" Melissa smiles "I am for sure, even if I'll be the eldest." Aph says "Doesn't matter. Go outside, I will come in a minute~" she walks outside. I notice the princess staring at me like i'm a piece of meat "If you stare at my neck, you will not bite me." she has an innocent smile "Let me know you a bit more and maybe I'll let you bite me." I am surprised when she hugs me "This is weird" she says "You are sweet" she kisses my check, then leaves "This girl is a bit crazy, but i'm sure she is nice." I look at the letter again "I miss you dad and I promise that we will be friends." I put the letter in my bag "I'll do that for myself too. I can't be lonely forever, not even if I want to..." I pet the dog while I watch them how they make play "She likes to be free as a bird." she waves at me, I wave back, she makes with both of her hands a heart, I blush "She will steal my heart if she continues." Alex is barking "You like her boy?" he nods "I like her as well." a little smile appears.
