When you look at me
What am I to you?
I see the art
That pours from your fingers
The talent
The potential
The love
You could spend your time
Admiring much better people
Yet
You chose me
Why me?
I'm horrible
I'm a life-draining
Worthless failure
I can't keep you safe
I can't keep anyone...safe
You look at my eyes like they are emeralds
At my face like it's a sky of stars
How do you see such amazing things
When all I see
Is a hollow shell
Filled with nothing
