I was stunned, my eyes widened. My whole body tensed up. After a few minutes, I pushed him away roughly; him stumbling back in surprise. "What the hell?!" I yelled. Gabby turned towards me, eyes widened. "Val? What's wrong??" She asked.
I looked at her, then pointed at Eli. "He kissed me." I spit the words out, as if it were venom. Honestly, I have no idea why I was so pissed. Maybe because he forced himself on me? Bullied me all that time and then just suddenly kissed me? Maybe.
"What?!" Gabby shouted, looking at Eli. "Why did you kiss her? What makes you think you can do that?" She was really going off on him. His eyes widened, and he held his hands up as if to protect himself. Wise choice. "Whoa, calm down! I-I just kissed her-" He stammered.
"Just kissed her?! Oh yeah, after bullying her all this time, you think you can just kiss her and forget all about it? I don't think so, pal." Gabby was really going off on him. I just watched, arms crossed. But, when she looked like she was going to punch him, I gently grabbed her shoulder.
"Hey, I think you freaked him out enough." I laughed a bit. "Enough doesn't cut it. You're lucky this is one of my good days, or I'd have kicked your ass already." Gabby said, staring daggers at Eli. His eyes widened. He looked at me, pleading for help.
I shook my head at him and shrugged. I didn't know what else to do. "Hey, when is your mom coming to pick us up?" I decided to try and change the subject. Gabby looked at me, momentarily surprised at the sudden change of subject. "Oh, 20 minutes." She said, still shooting daggers at Eli.
I also shot daggers at Eli. "I think it's time for you to go back inside the dance." He stared at me for a moment, sighed, and walked inside. I hugged Gabby. "You okay? That was quite a blowup." I laughed, recalling the scene in my head. "Yeah." She murmured into my shirt. I smiled. We stayed outside until her mom arrived.
