That whole ordeal kept playing over and over in my head. Eli kissed me... The words kept appearing in my head. I remembered him just grabbing me by the shoulders and forcing his mouth onto mine...
I was laying in my bed, looking at my phone. I scrolled through Instagram, bored. I sighed. None of my friends were on at the moment; including Gabby. I set my phone on my nightstand and stared at the ceiling.
My heart hammered in my chest. I had no idea why. I closed my eyes for a moment, until I heard a light tap on my window. My eyes flew open. I was momentarily surprised, until it happened again. Someone must have been throwing rocks at my window, but who?
Probably Gabby, I thought. I opened the window and peered out, wondering who threw the rocks. To my surprise, I saw Eli standing down there, looking up at me. I just stared, shocked to see him. How did he even know where I lived? I suddenly felt creeped out.
"What are you doing here?" I hissed at him. "I just wanted to apologize." He replied, not moving his gaze. "A little late for that tonight, don't you think?" I pointed out. "Nope." He said, giving me a cheeky grin. I rolled my eyes. I couldn't believe this guy.
"Whatever. Hold on, I'll be outside in a minute." I said. I threw on a sweater and jacket, since it was freezing, then I raced outside. He was standing on my porch now. He shoved his hands in his pockets, looking down. He seemed ashamed of himself. I raised an eyebrow. "So... why did you come here?" I asked again. "I told you already. To apologize." He said, quietly. "For?" I was confused.
I crossed my arms, awaiting a response. He finally looked at me, but he seemed nervous. "You know... at the dance." He said really softly. My face instantly flushed as I remembered. "Oh." That was all I said. I mean, what could I say? "It's okay..." I said, looking at him. "No it isn't." He said, suddenly really serious.
"Yes it is, really." I suddenly started feeling a little uncomfortable. He looked like he wanted to grab me again, but he tightened his jaw, and clenched his fists at his sides. "I..." His words died in his throat, and he just shook his head. "Never mind. I'll see you later." He murmured and turned, walking away. What the hell was that all about?
