We stay like that for awhile, just staring at each other. His eyes locked on mine, I think I could of fainted. It felt like time had stopped and we were in our own world.
Still looking at me as he speaks. "I feel that you know me better than my parents."
"Because we're both misunderstood." I say, my heart pounding.
"You know what this means?" He asks, a hint of excitement in his voice.
"What?" I ask curiously.
"That we're going to be great friends." His smile growing bigger.
I can feel my cheeks blushing. "I think we will too."
He turns towards the stars for a moment then back at me. "So what should we do first to become friends?"
I think about that for a moment. "Well I think there is a lot of stuff we don't know about each other yet."
His face lights up, kind of like a little kid. "Ok, let's play 20 questions!"
I laugh a little. "Ok, let's play."
--------------------
"Ok, so I now know your favorite color is light blue, favorite food is pizza, you hate clowns, prefer flat shoes, love daisies, addicted to coffee, and like to read in your spare time. Missing anything?"
I laugh at him. "Yes, that's only a few things about me."
He runs his hand throw his curly hair and looks at me. "Yes, but they're the most important."
I roll my eyes and laugh. "If you say so."
"So." He says with a smirk.
I punch his arm playfully. "You know what I meant."
He rubs his arm, acting like I hurt him. "Did I?"
"Yes, you did."
"Well then, let's see if you remember everything about me."
"Ok, well your favorite color is red, you like wearing beanies, you're also addicted to coffee, you like taking long walks on the beach and watching the sunset, your favorite food is cheeseburgers, you don't mind watching a chick flick, your favorite candy is M&Ms, your cross necklace is your good luck charm, and you like the smell of tulips." I have a mocking grin on my face when I finish.
He stares at me in shock for a minute. "Wow! You were paying attention."
"Yes I always do." I am still smiling.
He leans in closer, I can smell the scent of mint on his breath mixed with the smell of his cologne. Looking right in my eyes as he speaks. "I like that in a girl." He says just above a whisper.
"I guess it's my lucky day then." I breath. My heart is pounding in my chest again.
He smiles back at me. "Yes, yes it is."
