I reach my front door and carefully slip off my pumps. Very quietly I turn the doorknob, thank goodness it's unlocked. I slip inside and close the door shut. I don't see my parents around anywhere. So I tiptoe my way to the stairs. Without making a peep I climb the stairs. When I reach the top I tiptoe, using long strides, to my room. When I'm safely inside I lock the door.
I walk over and put my pumps in my closet. I notice my phone, laying on my dresser, light up. I walk over and pick it up. It's a message from an unknown number.
*You make it home safely?*
It's from Harry! He's making sure I'm safe. I feel a huge smile appear on my face and my heart starts racing.
*Yes I'm safe, and I didn't even run into my parents.*
Almost right away he texts back.
*That's good. So what are your plans tomorrow?*
*Well I don't think I'm doing anything, why? *
*I was hoping we could do something fun. If you wanted to.*
*That sounds great!:)*
*Great! I'll text you in the morning. Hope you sleep well, night.*
*You too, good night.*
I lay my phone on my night stand and slip my dress off. I grab a tank top and some shorts and put them on. I jump in bed and pull all the covers around me. I'm out as soon as my head hits the pillow. I go to sleep dreaming about musky cologne, green eyes, and bad boys.
--------------------
I wake up to the sun shining through my window. I roll over and pull the covers over my head. It's too early to wake up.
After several failed attempts to go back to sleep I finally decide to get up. I throw the covers to the end of my bed and sit up. I reach over towards my nightstand and grab my phone. I click it on and check my messages, nothing. Harry must not be up yet. I glance at the clock, it's only 7:30.
I roll out of bed and walk over to my vanity mirror. Yikes! My hair looks like someone attacked it with a vacuum. I start brushing it out. It looks a little better now. My hair is amber blonde and goes a little past my shoulders. My mom wanted to dye it bleach blonde but I quickly said no to that. I like my hair color, it's different.
I need coffee! I grab my phone off the night stand and head downstairs. It's quiet, my parents must still be hungover.
I make my way to the coffee pot. I turn it on and put a filter in, adding a few scoops of coffee. Starbucks brand, my favorite! Waiting for it to brew, I grab a muffin and sit at the island in the middle of the kitchen.
My mind thinks back to last night. It was so...perfect. I have never felt that comfortable around a guy before. He made me feel like I was important. Like what I was saying mattered. All those other guys my parents set me up with could of cared less about what I was saying, but Harry was different, he cared enough to listen to me. That makes me like him a lot more.
The coffee pot makes a ding snapping me out of my thoughts.
I pour myself a cup I walk back over to the island.
About that time my parents come stumbling down the stairs. Surprised they didn't fall.
"Good morning Abby." My mother greets me as she gets a cup out of the cupboard.
"Good morning mother." I reply back.
"So did you have fun with Niall last night?"
Shit! I didn't expect her to ask that. "Umm.. yea we had a great time." I lie.
"That's great!" She turns to my father. "Did you see the Styles there last night?"
"No, but I saw their son." He replies sternly.
My mothers eyes pop out of her head. "Did you have him kicked out!?"
"I was going to but he was gone before I could get security."
I zone out of their conversation to reply to a text that just appeared on my phone.
*Meet me at the coffee shop on 3rd street at noon.*
I text back:
*Ok I will see you there:)*
I pour myself another cup of coffee a head to my room. My parents are too caught up in their conversation to notice my absence.
I walk into my closet and look around. What should I wear?
