Chapter 11: Mal-Lone

Meanwhile, At Mal & Evie's Dorm...
My POV
I was busy listening to music on my phone, Evie was checking herself in the mirror, and Mal was busy reading a book. Suddenly, we felt a large shake like if an explosion hit this place. "What was that?!", I said as I put back on my hat. "The Jewel Bilee!", Mal said as all three of us got up. But Evie still kept on looking at herself in the mirror. "You can look at yourself in the mirror later!", I told her as I grabbed her arm and left the room. The three of us kept on running and wondering what was going on. "What do you think that loud crash was about?", I asked. "I don't know.", Mal said as we still kept on running. But as we were, I heard shouting. I recognized it right away, it was B.E.N. "Help! Someone, help! The Jewel Bilee! Help!", he yelled as he was running towards me fast. He then bumped into me and we both fell down. "Ow! B.E.N? What's going on?", I asked him as I got up. "Jenny! We got trouble! The Jewel Bilee is under attack!", he said as Morph panic in my face. "By who?", Mal asked him as he said he'll take us. All four of us then started to run down the hall and straight to the throne room. "Wait! B.E.N, what happened at The Jewel Bilee?", Mal asked him. "All I know is that some guy was throwing potions everywhere. And Jimmy told me to do something-", he said until I stopped him from talking. "Wait! Jim's in trouble?! I'm coming Jim!", I said as I ran faster than anyone else. I then heard screaming coming from the throne, so I ran faster. Mal, Evie, B.E.N, and Morph finally caught up with me, and we all opened the doors and went inside. "What is going- AHHHHH!!!!! MY JEWEL BILEE! WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO THE THRONE ROOM?!", I shouted as I saw the entire throne room. It was all destroyed, the decorations were torn up, and the jewels were gone. "Guys! Is everyone ok?", Mal asked as everyone shook their heads "yes". "Ok, where's Jim?", I asked as I looked up. "Oh my gosh! Jim! Are you alright?!", I asked as I saw him hang on top of the roof. "I am. But I can't get down.", he said as Morph floated to him and helped him down. I then saw that Audrey was upset on the floor, Ben was half frozen, and Jordan was pinned down by shards of crystals. I was so confused on what happened. Morph then went over to Ben and turned into a hair dryer to unfreeze him, and I went over to help Jordan. "What happened here?", Mal asked as I was pulling the shards of crystals off of Jordan's dress. "Zevon happened, Yzma's son. He came in and he was all Cablam! Cablam! I'm going to take over Auradon! Babam! Babom!", Jordan said as Ally found her reenactment very impressive. I then stood still for a second and whispered "Oh no!" under my lips. Mal then heard me and said "What? What, Oh no?" "Uh, nothing! Nothing! Nothing at all!", I said as Mal looked at me mysteriously. "You knew who Zevon was? Did you?", she asked. "Uh! No I didn't!", I said. "Genesis!", Mal said as I gave in. "Ok! Fine! I know who he is and who's his mother. It's because I used to date emperor Kuzco. Aka, he's my ex boyfriend.", I said as Mal and Evie gasped. Jim then walked up to me and said "Wait a minute! Where was I when you two started dating?" I then looked at him and said "It was a long time ago, before you and me went out. And before the Vks came to Auradon. He use to tell me about how Yzma tried to have him killed just so she can become empress. And he also told me about how she had a son and he was planning to come to Auradon some day for revenge." "And, why did you break up with him?", Evie asked. "Because I figured that dating an emperor and marrying one was too much for me. So I dumped him six months later after he told me his entire life story.", I said as they all looked surprised at me. "Well, where is Zevon now?", Jim asked. "Evie! Mirror!", Mal said as Evie took out her magic mirror. She was admiring herself again, so I told her to stop. She then looked at the mirror and said "Mirror, mirror. In my hand. Where is Zevon in our land?" The mirror then showed a picture of the tourney field and Zevon was there. "He's on the tourney field. Alright, you guys. We need to stop Zevon from taking over all of Auradon.", Mal said as Audrey looked angry at her. "With you? After the chaos you caused lately?!", Audrey said. "You're right! I know what I did was wrong. And I'm really sorry.", Mal said as Audrey looked away from her. I then went up to her and said "Audrey, this isn't all of Mal's fault! This is mostly my fault too. Because, I snuck onto the isle of the lost and turned evil for one day." She then turned her head to me quickly and everyone gasped. "You what?!", she said as I got scared a bit. I then took a deep breath and said "I didn't mean too. It's just that I felt bad that Mal couldn't find her jewel, so I went off to the isle to find it for her without anyone noticing. But for some reason, I turned evil and I was the one who helped caused a lot of trouble here too." Audrey then turned angry at me and said "So, you were the one who spray painted my room?!" "*Freezing while talking* Oh, you're so losing your solar surfing privileges for a very long time!", Ben said as he was almost unfrozen. I then looked down and said "I know, I deserve to be punished. But that's not what I'm trying to point out right now. I just want to say that I'm the one who you should be mad at, Audrey. And I'm really sorry." She then turned away and said to me and Mal "Well, both apologies are one hundred percent unexpected! Apologies denied! Like an ugly step sister with size twelve feet!" I then heard Jordan say that we just got roasted and everyone didn't look happy at me. "You two caused us all into danger. You two ruined everything.", Audrey said as Mal agreed with her. I then looked at her and said "What?" "Mal, no! Look, guys! Zevon did this. He used Genesis as his slave in order to get to Mal. He fooled us all. And he caused us all into danger.", Evie said. "Maybe that explains why everyone else didn't show up. Like, Carlos, Freddie, Jay, and Jane. But we can't find them anywhere.", Jim said. I then saw that Ben was finally unfrozen and he said "Finally, I can feel my legs again! I'll go search for them. But, Genesis! Once this day is over, I'll discuss your punishment with you later!" He then ran away to find the others and everyone still didn't want to help Mal. "Alright, Evie. Let's go!", she said as I stopped her quickly. "Mal, wait! I'm coming with you two! I deserve to help you with this!", I told her. She then looked at me and said "*Sigh* Look, Genesis. I think it might be best if you stay here, where you're safe. Remember what I told you about helping me? Besides, you've already been in enough trouble for one day." She then hugged me and left with Evie. "Mal! Mal!", I shouted as she closed the doors behind her. I then looked down and felt upset. How could she just reject me like that, when I offered to help her? "Well, I hope you learned something from all of this!", Audrey said. I then cracked my knuckles and became extremely angry. "What?!", I said angrily as I still had my head down. "If you wouldn't have been sneaking off to the isle to find her jewel instead of focusing on your school work, none of this would've happened!", Audrey said. I then got out my magic and shot a shard of purple crystal at Audrey, which she missed after she ducked. The rest of the girls huddled around her to protect her and Jim held my arms. I was so mad, I felt like I wanted to hurt someone. "Genesis! Are you crazy?! What are you doing?!", Audrey said as I broke free from Jim's grip. "What's your problem, Audrey?! All I wanted to do was to help Mal find her jewel!", I shouted at her. "And look where it got you. You and your friend sent us all into great danger!", Audrey said as I turned light red in the face. "Oh, sure! Listen to Audrey, everybody! The most popular girl in school because she thinks she has friends!", I said. "I have friends!", she replied. "No you don't! The only reason I hang out with you is because we're family! That doesn't count!", I said as I started to walk to the door. "Where are you going?", she asked. "To the tourney field to find Zevon!", I replied. "Why?!", she asked. I then turned around and said "Because, I made a promise to Mal that I help her no matter what! And I'm going to keep that promise! Because that's what friends do for each other! They stick together! And if you all can't do that for me, or go out and help Mal, then we're not friends at all..." I then walked out the doors and slammed them both.
Audrey's POV
"Genesis! Get back here right now!", I shouted. "What do you mean, not friends anymore? Ruby!", Jim said. But she already slammed the doors and left. We all stood there quietly after what just happened. "Awkward...", B.E.N said.
At The Tourney Field
Mal's POV
Me and Evie were heading to the field to find Zevon, but I heard someone coming behind us. It was Genesis. "Genesis? What are doing here? Go back inside! It's too dangerous!", I told her. "No, Mal! I made a promise to you that I help you no matter what and I'm going to keep that promise!", she told me. I felt like I wanted to tell her to leave, but saw that the lightning in the sky was getting worse. "Alright. But stay behind me and Evie.", I told her as she smiled. The three of us then made it to the field, but we saw that Zevon was creating more lightning bolts in the sky. "I think we're too late!", Evie said as we all looked up at the sky.
