OUR COMMENT One thing for sure about Parricide is that it definitely has a lot of gay/lesbian representation. I particularly enjoyed the mood of horror and suspense, as most Warriors LGBT fanfictions are within the genres of action and/or romance. I looked up the meaning of the title, and (like I guessed) parricide is the action of killing a parent or other relative. It's an excellent choice on the author's part to not include the definition in the synopsis, because unless the reader either a) already knows the word or b) isn't too lazy to look it up, then it doesn't reveal the exact plot at the beginning. While reading, I personally felt that perhaps most of the LGBT characters were being portrayed as generally angry and violent, but hopefully as the story continues, I'll see a bit more passive resistance from other nonviolent queers.* In conclusion, Parricide is a wonderful book, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone searching for a horror and murder-packed story with LGBT-identifying characters.
