TJ's P.O.V
Groaning, I slammed my finger onto my phone screen to shut off the dumbass alarm blaring through the speakers of my phone.
I don't understand school. They expect you to do 5 hours of homework and 6 hours of studying but they want you to get 8 hours of sleep. It's so dumb!
I sighed as my feet hit the poorly carpeted floor, already wishing to be back asleep. I slowly but surely made my way into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and hair, leaving my hair down for the day to come. I quickly filled in my eyebrows and applied mascara, all that was needed for school. I'm not trying to impress anyone. Once again, I slowly shuffled back into my bedroom, fighting the urge to jump right back into bed. I put on my undergarments, leggings and a t-shirt. Once again, not trying to impress anyone.
I can't wait to move out of my shitty apartment. I live alone in a one bedroom and one bathroom apartment because my parents divorced when me and my brother, Austin, were 8 and I was 5. Yes, Austin Porter. We're pretty close in our relationship, despite him living in LA while I still live in Florida. We lived with my mom until I was 16 and Austin was 19, but we moved out of North Carolina and down to Florida, to get away from her. Austin and I shared an apartment, split rent, but when Austin left for LA, I was left to attempt to pay bills for a shitty apartment.
I continued with my morning routine. Bottle of water, container of strawberries and my charger. I take those to school everyday. I slipped on my white Nike roshes, grabbed my backpack and headed for the door.
I dread waking up early for school every morning. Its cruel, it really is.
I chuckled, thinking about how much energy Austin always had in the mornings. It made getting up for school so much fun. Ever since he left, it's been pretty much dead around my house. He moved to LA to move in with his friend Ed...I think his name is. Last I heard, there's three other guys living with him too. Rent must be cheap as fuck splitting between 5 people.
My red Chevy Silverado squeaked against the rough road as I eased on the gas pedal out of the parking lot. Listening to the song playing on the radio, I started considering where I will end up after high school. I had next to no time to think when my car came to a halt, my foot still on the brake, as I parked into my senior parking spot. I put the hood of my sweatshirt over my head, the soft fabric sure to make my hair a mess. I grabbed my backpack out of the front seat and began strolling up to the school building.
Skip school day
I entered the small place I call home, sighing. It was a long day and I was ready for it to just be over already. I barely had time to sit down on the couch before my brother called.
"What's up?" I greeted his phone call.
"I know this is sudden." He paused.
"But do you want to move into our house in LA with us?""Why? Not trying to be rude, I just don't know why you all of a sudden want me to move in with you, Aus." My nickname for him.
"Because, the guys and I have started a little bit of a singing group and we need someone to possibly help produce music for us....if we....you know...grow a fan base..."
"First of all, you have so much talent" I chuckled "I'm sure you guys will grow a fan base." I smiled "second of all, I'll move out to LA. I guess I could finish the second semester online?" I said more as a question.
He waiting a few seconds before answering "okay, do you want to drive here or do you want to fly and have your car shipped?"
"I'll fly and have it shipped." I heard what sounded like two or three other voices in the room and Austin give a quiet "shush" to the voices, barely audible.
"Okay. I booked your ticket for next week..."
"You already had it done?" I chuckled at how he knew I would say yes and how sudden this all is.
"Yeah...kinda. I gotta go, I'll text you the details for the moving truck and your flight"
"Love you, bye"
"Bye, TJ." I heard before I gently pressed the bright red 'end call' button.
I huffed and stood up quickly. Glancing around my small apartment, I realized I won't have much to move across country. I'll count that as a blessing.
Austin's P.O.V
I smiled after I hung up, I knew she'd say yes. I felt bad after I left for LA and realized I didn't offer for her to come with. I didn't think we would grow a fan base so quickly, I expected to have to move back to Florida with her.
"I cant wait for your sister to move in bro, she is fine." Nick spoke with a sly smirk on his face.
"Be quiet, dumbass, you're not gonna get with my sister" I spoke, chuckling.
Nick nodded slowly and made his way into the kitchen, still with that stupid smirk on his face. Nick has always been like that, for as long as I've known him. I stood up from the couch and made my way up to my room for the night, considering if I made a mistake by moving TJ into a house with 5 guys. She's not like that...at all. But I know these boys...
Authors note:
I know it seems kinda boring right now but I have the entire plot planned out and it will get interesting...💞
