{super cliché for this one you ready}

{malum too so if you don't ship it get out}

luke was currently on a walk with his friend, calum. they were just chatting about random things, the air warm with a nice breeze drifting though. both boys felt peaceful and happy to spend the time together. they had really been lacking social activities, so this was good for the both of them. plus, they hadn't seen each other in a few months at the least.

but luke didn't understand what was going on when calum stopped abruptly, completely abandoning the conversation between the two. "cal?" he asked, looking back at the boy, "what's wrong?"

calum was looking ahead at something, but all he could see were two figures walking towards them, looking to be somewhere around their age. "i think that's a lad that i went to elementary with," calum stated, still staring at the people. "in fact-" he cut himself off, taking a few steps forward. he then chuckled. "well i'll be damned,"

the four walked towards each other, calum stopping them when they were about to pass. "mike?" he asked, "is that you?" calum had remembered the facial structure of his previous best mate clearly, and it was like he was looking at a duplicate from the past. of course he had grown, gone through puberty, and dyed his hair, but the recognition was definitely still there.

"calum?" the other boy responded, a grin slowly forming on his face. "holy shit man, it's been forever!" he exclaimed, pulling the ebony haired boy in for a giant hug. that left the other two people to stand awkwardly, so luke decided to break the silence by introducing himself.

"ashton," was all that the brunette replied with, making luke frown slightly. he liked talking to people, and this person didn't seem like he wanted to chat.

soon enough though, calum was suggesting that they all go to his place, which luke was fine with. the others agreed as well, and they all headed over.

it turned out that ash and luke actually had a lot in common when talking about bands and different types of music. they talked about other things as well, but that was what they seemed to relate the most with.

so as they bonded over bands like pierce the veil and sleeping with sirens, calum and michael were on the other side of the room, chatting with each other.

"where have you been, mate?" calum asked, still a bit shocked because of michael's presence. the two had been tied together way back when, and now all of the memories were flooding back.

"i went over to america to gain a ph.d. in psychology, cal. in fact, that's how i met ash," he motioned over to the boy talking with luke. "when my college found out i wanted to go back to australia, they started looking for people i could help with over here. they found ash, and he's been doing really well. he has a multiple personality disorder, but it's now more commonly known as a dissociative identity disorder."

calum was shocked to say the least, but only because ashton seemed like such a normal bloke now. "wow, that's amazing mike." he said, causing michael to chuckle.

"yeah, i'm really impressed with the progress he's made. usually it takes people several years to recover, but with ash it's only been a year and a half. he's practically cured now, which is the fastest i've ever heard of someone recovering. usually the disorder is caused by a traumatic event at a young age, which, for ashton, was being abused.

"it's terrible, really. the things the poor boy has been through. you should see his back and stomach, it's absolutely..." mike struggled to find the right words, "terrifying, in a way."
