"Don’t say that Sophie", says Jai with a worried look on his face. "I can say what I want Jai!" I snap, letting out a small sniff. He sighs and looks down at his feet speechless. "I don’t know what to say?" He says looking at me for support. I don’t make any sort of communication with him. I stand up and leave the room, watching him from the corner of my eye as I leave. I walk back in 5 minutes later holding an old, black scrapbook. I sit down on the bed next to Jai who is confused as to why I had this book. I ran my fingers over the front cover, flicking the book open to the first page. I stared down at photo that was pasted on the page surrounded with hearts. I could hear a small chuckle from Jai as he stared down at the book resting on our laps. I smiled as I remember the story of how this picture was taken.
*flashback*
We were walking home together from school hand in hand, laughing at some pointless thing like crazy. All of a sudden I pulled out my phone and we started taking photos of ourselves. Then we both tried to get a photo of us kissing, but we were laughing too much we banged our heads together and at that exact time I took the photo! We both looked at it and laughed for ages and ages!
“Do you remember this?” I ask Jai, trying to be serious. He smiles and replies, “of course, this was the first photo I ever saved on my phone.” I laughed and clear my throat, trying to take back the laugh. He looks at me and sighs as his smile fades. We flick through the book, laughing and telling each other stories. At one stage, we even laughed so hard, Jai fell off the bed and I came crashing down on top of him. As Im laying on top of him, the laughing fades and we both smile, staring into each other’s eyes. He gently places his lips against mine, running his fingers through my hair. I suddenly stop kissing him and jump up and run out of the room. ‘Oh no. What just happened?’ I thought to myself, worrying what would happen if Jai’s girlfriend found out.
