Summer Love

Chapter 3

Work was okay. Most of my co-workers were on vacation so it was really quiet at work. But there wasn't much work to do so I left earlier every day.

On Saturday Mike celebrated his birthday. We were all invited, but we didn't go. We were at Jessica's house. We were drinking a glass of wine with my mom Maria, Jessica's mom (Celine) Owen and his mom Francis. There were more parties going on. One at Mike's house, and another one at Nicole's house.

We were just talking and having a laugh. Sidney was at Mike's birthday party but she constantly walked over to talk to us, and then went back to Mike.

The party sounded good. Mike had great music and great company. Owen was kind of impressed, because he likes to party. He doubted to go over there but his mom wasn't really happy with the idea because of what happened earlier with Mike. She doesn't like Mike. She thinks  Mike is a bad guy. And let's be honest, he kinda is.

Owen decided to go to Mike. But he didn't want to go alone. I didn't want to go over there because Alice was there. To me, it felt like Alice had a crush on Owen too. She's Mike's daughter, and Mike likes Francis a bit. I didn't want Alice to have a chance with Owen, but I'm so shy. As I was thinking about Alice and Owen, Owen stood right in front of me, with his hand reached out to me. He said: "come with me."

And I was like: "Where to?"

"To Mike's."

I didn't know what to say or do. Should I go or shouldn't I?

I was scared to get left out, Alice is really outgoing and up front. She wants to be seen. She wants to be in the spotlights. She just wants attention, and she gets it. And I'm quiet, and more down to earth. I was afraid I would be there for nothing, and he would have more attention for her than for me. And I didn't want to be embarrased like that. So I told him I wasn't going. So he went alone.

Those eyes omg..

How stupid? How could I let him go alone? Of course he only has attention for her now..

My pride was way more important I guess.

Anyway, the night was still okay with the rest. I talked a lot with his mom, which helps me to get to know him better. And he likes girls that are good with his mom.

Nicole's Boyfriend proposed to her, and everyone was happy. So she had a great night filled with love.

I still regret not going with Owen..

The next day Priscilla asked me if she could come over so I let her come over. We decided it was a great day to plan out the concert we were going to in the fall. We had golden circle tickets, so we had to decide if we were going to camp at the venue or whatever.

We couldn't really concentrate at my house so we were going for a walk. We walked over to a field with grass and some artistic thing. She started climbing in that thing and it was kinda funny. She told me she used to come here with my ex. Why? This is why I don't really trust her, but we both needed someone to go to the concert with so let's just keep it up till the concert.

We decided that we wanted to camp at the venue. We still needed someone to bring us to the venue, we were thinking about outfit ideas and what we needed to do and have for the big day. We were so excited. but it got late so we walked back to my street.

Owen was outside again, with Jessica, Celine, my mom and Francis.

Priscilla stayed in front of my house for like half an hour. I didn't want to leave her so I stayed with her. While I was talking to her, Owen and me constantly had eye contact and we were kind of having eye sex with each other haha, but Priscilla didn't notice anything. I'm glad she didn't though. I wouldn't trust her with Owen.

Her father called so she -finally- went home. That gave me the chance to walk over and go sit with Owen and the rest of "my squad".

Owen smokes cigarettes, and I do too, but nobody knows that because it kinda was a secret. I didn't want my father to know because I was scared he got mad. So Owen asked me if I smoke and I told him about my smoking secret and he offered me a cigarette. Another challenge...

So I had to decide, was I going to act cool and smoke the cigarette he offered me? Or was I going to act pussy and not smoke the cigarette because I was scared to get caught?

I chose the second one. My scared ass was scared to get caught.

Sad.

Because a couple of days later I told my father about it, and he wasn't mad at all.

Anyways.

Summer has almost gotten to an end and it was one of the last night we spend together when Owen his best friend Jordy came over. Let me explain Jordy.

Jordy is just as old as Owen, he seems like a player and he is super crazy. He's kinda annoying. He's the centre of attention. I didn't like him when I first saw him.

They were looking for girls on Tinder. Well that was sad. Summer was over and I guess our fling was over too.

And this is kinda how summer '16 ended..
