Well, that happened a lot quicker than I expected, well done guys! Here's the next chapter!
***********
As soon as Lauren woke up this morning, she had called up the doctors office requesting an appointment. She had managed to get one today much to her relief, and now, she was trying to get to get her whiny baby ready to go.
After about an hour of contently watching her baby last night, the girl had unlatched herself and had simply just cuddled into her chest instead, allowing the green eyed girl to go back to sleep as well. Despite the fact she fell asleep content, that didn't stop her from dreaming.
They weren't bad dreams necessarily, but they did make her a little sad.
She had dreamt of breastfeeding her child from birth and having that special bond that most babies and mothers have. Yes, she may have her baby back, and yes, she loved her so much it hurt, but they didn't have that bond, well, not yet anyway. She's hoping after this doctors appointment, they will, but only time will tell.
When she feels a soft kick to her thigh, she brings herself out of her thoughts and glances down at where the kick had come from, seeing her baby looking up at her with wide eyes.
"Sorry baby, mama was just thinking" she says softly as she guides the girls small legs thorough the holes of her shorts, pulling them up so they sat on her hips. She had tried pants, well leggings actually, but after a small disagreement between Camila and obviously disliked item, she had grabbed a pair of shorts instead.
Grabbing the pair of socks, she slides one of them onto her baby's good foot, "mama doesn't know the size of your little feet yet, so socks will have to do huh?" She coos as she gently tickles the bottom of the girls foot, earning a happy squeal in response.
"There we go, all ready"
"As mama's already dressed, I think it's time to go" She says, opening her arms. Once the girl leans into her touch, she gently hoists the girl into her arms, making sure to support her injured leg with her hand.
She grabs her phone from the nightstand and stuffs it into the back pocket of her jeans before making her way downstairs. The appointment was at ten, and as the time was now nine twenty and it took at least half an hour to get there, they needed to leave now.
She picks up one of the girls blankets from the couch before walking out of the door, making sure everything was locked behind her.
She wasn't about to leave anything unlocked with what was going on.
"Alright baby, in you go" She coos softly as she places the tiny girl down into her car seat before buckling her up. She makes sure the straps weren't too tight before placing the blanket over her, and she places a soft kiss onto her cheek.
