Lauren doesn't sleep that night; because in all honestly, she was too terrified.

What if it wasn't Dinah? What if the person who took her baby was back? She couldn't get the image of that out of her head. Every time she closed her eyes, that was all she could see, and she hated it.

She tries to put all the dots together in her head. One minute, her baby was safe in her arms, and the next, she was gone. The only other person at the hospital that came to see her was her dad, but he would never do anything that cruel...would he?

Lauren shakes her head, getting rid of those thoughts.

No he wouldn't, he was her dad for god sakes.

But that thought brings her to to another assumption. Nobody else could have gotten into the hospital without being seen by at least somebody...so, what if it was him? and all this time she was being told all this crap that she was really gone forever when in fact she wasn't.

She sighs heavily and turns over, leaving her body facing her baby. She reaches an arm out to gently brush the girls hair out of her face, wishing that her baby was old enough to tell her what really happened so she wasn't jumping to conclusions and assuming things.

"Mommy loves you so much" she whispers, scooting her body a little closer as she moves her hand down to rest on the girls lower back, "so so much" she adds, her voice barely even a whisper.

When she next looks up from her baby, she see's it's now light out. Reaching for her phone on her nightstand to check the time, she climbs out of bed and stretches, letting out a quiet sigh.

"Seven twenty one, oh well, at least I'll sleep tonight" she murmurs to herself, sticking her phone into her shorts pocket. Knowing she wasn't about to leave her baby unattended like she stupidly had done before, she makes her was round to the other side of the bed and crouches down, resting her hand on the back of her little girls head.

"Wakes wakey sweet girl, time to wake up" she murmurs, running her hand down to the girls butt. She pats it gently a few times, a smile appearing on her face when her brown eyes blearily open.

"Hi my love, did you sleep good" She asks, leaning in to gently peck the girls forehead. She allows her lips to linger for a second before pulling away.

The newly turned three year old nods, turning over onto her back before stretching. She lets out a quiet whine before holding her arms up for her mother.

"Up we go, lets get your diaper changed then we can go get some food, okay?" She says, holding the girl close as she kisses the side of her head.

She feels her baby nod against her neck, so she grabs a clean diaper and wipes before gently laying her down on the edge of her bed. Tugging down her sweatpants, she makes quick work of changing the soiled diaper before changing her into a different onesie.
