Pat Stewart walked in the courtroom with his power blue suit and approached the bench. Leslie watched as he was escorted in himself in a blue jumpsuit taking his seat next to Jesse who stood looking at the district attorney. Pat tried to not make eye contact but it was obvious he was purposely avoiding him.The judge came in taking her place in the high chair addressing the court before she gave permission to begin.
"Your honor I would like to stop all charges against the defendant"
Leslie looked shocked as so did the others in the stands including Janaya who sat behind him. One that was more mad than shocked was Eric who got up out of his seat approaching the bench before being held back by the court guard.
"Pat what are you doing, we had him how could you do this"
Pat took a quick glimpse at the irate officer and then focused his attention on the judge who he then explained the reasons for his actions. The deal offered to him by Jesse was just to sweet to pass up and since he did want to run for office for the next mayor of the city he felt bringing down a corrupt police ring could do more for his image than sending one man to jail for murder. He then showed the judge they were wrong about Leslie committing the murder and that the blood collected had been tampered with and in fact another man came up to say he murdered Diamond Hall.
The man's name was Justin Parker who was a two time felon wanted for rape and assault. Pat found a puppet as he called him looking in his long list of felons and decided to pin the murder on Justin which wasn't hard, after finding him he read him his rights and then explained the sentence he would get after he was dome dragging him in court but for his cooperation he would lighten his sentence to twenty five years max and also pay for medical expenses for his mother who currently had stage three lung cancer that alone made Justin sign a confession and admit to the murder, a few drops of blood and side money to the forensic specialist and Justin blood was the actual one found at the scene. It was over Leslie was now a free man, Jesse had kept his promise of getting him released.
He quickly hugged Janaya kissing for several seconds as guards came over to unshackle him. Jesse patted him on the back and shook Jaynayas hand congratulating them before leaving out of the courtroom. They followed behind him meeting Passion and Anita who stood waiting for them in the hallway. Leslie hugged Passion who gave him a kiss on the cheek so happy to see him free as Anita reached out to Janaya tapping her on the shoulder.
"Hey, I'm glad everything worked out" Anita said holding herself up with her cane.
"Same for you, I heard about the shooting and umm...I know we don't see eye to eye or even like each other but I'm glad to see you're doing better"
The words brought tears to Anita eyes as she hugged the woman who was once her boyfriends one night stand. The two walked outside to see Jesse being hounded by reporters as he spoke a few words for the camera.
"I'm just glad for once the justice system could work for the better, I knew my client was innocent and I'm just glad the truth came out he is now free to live his life. We have the real killer in custody and the DA will make sure he rightfully gets what he deserves"
Inside the court Pat saw the judge one on one displaying the information given go him by Jesse off all the corruption done under the police department, the bribes, false arrest, fake evidence, and illegal searches including the dozens of names involved. Done with the Diamond Hall case he was now ready to face the police department as his final and greatest case of all. Eric couldn't believe it, still stunned he walked back and forth trying to keep his compulsure as Emily tried desperately to get him to sit down.
"What happened" he said as he looked at her in disbelief.
"I don't know but it's over, but we'll see Pat Stewart again and he'll have some explaining to do"
"Oh yes he will" Eric said getting up walking outside passing the crowd and also Leslie. The two traded stares as he went to his car along with Emily. It was over he no longer could pursue him, it was time to move on to the next case but just cause he couldn't chase after Leslie didn't mean Pat was off the hook, his plans with him were just beginning.
"Well let's get out of here and get some brunch on me" Passion said offering everyone a look into her new club which was almost done.
They all agreed getting in their own vehicles following Passion including Ghost who followed her and Anita to the courthouse. He stayed parked across the street in an unmarked car making sure nothing happened to her, news spread quickly of the killing of Robert Angello and he knew the mob would now take out anyone associated with Will. He couldn't stand by and just witness her being killed a long with others and he was still on retainer. He never left a job undone, he was paid to kill Will and he wasn't going to stop until he did just that. Still unaware of his whereabouts he felt he was getting warmer to his location and with the club about to reopen know he would appear sooner or later to take back what was rightfully his.
Passion opened the drivers door getting in but not before vomitting right on the ground.
"You okay" Anita asked.
"Yeah I'm okay, I've been sick I don't know what it is but lately I haven't been myself"
"Girl it could be something you ate"
"I wish, last thing I been able to keep down was the food Henry gave me"
Passion then thought about it, her last meal came from him and he prepared it along with the wine he presented her with. Ever since she been seeing him regularly she hasn't been the same which brought her to the assumption he could still be working with Will.
"After we eat I'm going to the hospital"
"Everything's okay"
"Yeah, I just think I have food poisoning I'll be fine"
Passion didn't like keeping secrets from her best friend but didn't want to get her involved with the mess she was in, she still had to figure Henry out and if she felt he poisoned her then it was unknown what else he could've  been doing and she had to keep her safe especially after almost losing her the last time in the shooting.
"Follow them but stay three cars behind" Ghost ordered as he text away on his phone from the back seat.
A twelve minute drive turned into a thirty minute ride due to traffic with all the parties arriving at the club late than expected. Passion escorted them in as everyone looked around at the newly renovated night club which was twice as large as the old one and looked even better. It was finally ready to open and Passion planned starting off opening night with a bang getting Artist and a famous DJ to perform while twenty dancers were all hired to be in attendance for a more than expected packed house. Seven days away and the grand opening would held but still no word from the owner Will.
"Speaking of the devil where is that sorry ass Will" Anita asked sipping on a long island ice tea given to her from the bartender.
"Who knows, if lucky maybe he's lying in a ditch somewhere but until he returns I'll be running the club and I want you to be my manager"
"Thanks girl I don't know how much managing I can do with me still doing therapy but I'll try" Anita said smiling.
Managing the night and strip club would give her something to do rather than sit around the house all day. She wanted her life to mean something and since she was shot she felt like there was nothing that can stand in th way of her living her live with no regrets.
"Well I hope I'm invited" Leslie said.
"Of course you are, you and Janaya can come tell Chris too, this will be the night of all nights so mark it down on your calendars one week from now it goes down"
Passion smiled with them all taking a shot of Vokda as she text the information the security company requesting more guards in time for opening night, and Henry watched the conversation from the phone as he sat in his chair in the hotel suite. Picking up his real phone he called a number to relay important information.
"Yeah a week from now it's going down, the club reopens. I need you there and her to be taken out that night can you do it"
"Of course I can"
"This time I need it done right, just wait for my call in the next couple days I'll give you all the info just be ready"
The hit was out, Passion needed to die in seven days the night she reopened the club but it had to look like an accident. The man for hire no other than Jimmy "The Bull" Deniro father of the Jersey crime family and direct rival of the Colombos. When their families faced each other with no end in sight Jimmy used Will as a Pawn to take out the Colombos. Planting the big in his mens ears of the drugs being brought in from the Colombos knowing they would take the bait which brought Will to their attention to pay them the money lost and preserve the peace in the streets but that wasn't enough he sought out Wills younger half brother Henry who was a former hitman for hire and since Henry owed him a favor from his life being saved in prison he agreed to being his brother and the Colombos down, giving them the address to the club Will owned knowing they would try to kill him there but when thst didn't work he came up to seal the deal gaining Passions trust as he plotted to kill her along with keeping his brother out the loop of his soon demise all while taking out the reining crime family of the city.
The Colombos were no more and as promised once Passion was out of the picture no one would stand in Henrys way of running the club and the drug game. All Jimmy now waited on was the phone call that would take place days from now to have one of his men once again shoot down the club this time with the intent to kill Passion, with her out the picture Henry would kill his own brother and the two would part ways with Jimmy having full control over his new territory, and Henry with his new empire and full immunity from the Deniros.
