L.A stared across the table at her as if she wanted to attack. Not one line in her expression gave off any impression of a smile. Miranda however smirked sarcastically with her shades on to cover her eyes. Her lawyer whispered in her before addressing the room, she sat silent without a care in the world.
"My client wants this divorce to go smoothly, she has moved on and so has her spouse but she wants half"
"I already told you you're not getting anything" L.A says interrupting before being calmed down by her attorney, Mirandas attorney continues.
"They spent years together as she became a popular producer, and even gave up her career to be by her side, half is pretty reasonable don't you think"
"I didn't know stripping was a career" L.A said.
As much as she hated it she couldn't argue with the smooth talking attorney. She came into the court session with the intentions of not giving up a dime but knew in reality she would have to pay something. L.A's attorney presents to the room evidence as they call it of the money already spent on Miranda after their separation. Everything from bank statements to credit card bills, and a car note that was still paid by her. Miranda whispers back in her lawyers ear.
"My client has come to a very reasonable request that I think we can both live with"
"And what is that" L.As lawyer says.
"Fifteen thousand dollars a month for the next year plus she pays off her car, and the taxes on her club. Also she gets fifty percent rights to her master's"
L.As face turns red as she jumps out of her seat, money was one thing but taking her music was another.
"Why would I give you the rights to my music, you didn't help me write one song, produce one track. Everything you got I worked hard to give you, and you got a new man so why are you jocking me"
The officials try to calm her down but she shrugs them off as she she slowly sits administering the meanest ugliest glare at her soon to be wife.
"Because you owe me, and I disagree I sign helped you with your music" Miranda says pulling out her phone playing a sample of a song L.A wrote and produced.
It was for a known R&B artist entitled "In and out of love" and was a major success. The hit made L.A famous outside her genre of Hip Hop and established her not only a producer but talented song writer. The song got her nominated for a Grammy and provided her a hefty royalty check.
"Now that sounds like inspiration right there, who were you writing about in that song" Mirandas lawyer ask.
"It was about me" Miranda answers.
L.A didn't answer just stared, she couldn't argue that at the time she was her motivation and contributed to the song itself but she wouldn't give her the satisfaction of her admitting it even though she already knew.
"So yes I did help you with your music"
The feud was getting messy, it was already seen that it wouldn't be an easy divorce. While the two sides battled each other while trying to come up with a settlement Anita was finally released to go home. Passion held her as she stood out of her wheelchair entering the apartment. Since she was barely able to take care of herself it was decided that Passion would be here caretaker like she promised. Anita savored the moment as she looked around her home, her eyes began to tear as she sat down on the couch.
"You know I never thought I would see this place again"
"Don't cry baby, you're here and you're not going anywhere just relax.You need alot of rest, I got to run to get your pain medication and I also have to see the contractors about this renovation so I'll be a while but you're going to be okay" she said.
"Yeah girl I'll be fine, I'm just going to lay here, mom has the kids for the night so I can just rest"
"Well call me if you need anything. I'm bringing home food so don't worry"
"Okay girl, I love you"
"Love you too baby" Passion said exiting out the door. Her agenda was busy, while taking care of Anita she still had to start rebuilding the club. Since her and Will weren't on speaking terms she didn't bother to inform him of her plans but knew he would find out through Henry. Passion was still skeptical of Henry but couldn't fight the attraction she had for him, if anything he was great sex for the meantime, and with Ghost on standby he could be taken out with one phone call.
Club Sweets was finally cleaned out and ready to start the new process of remodeling. The floor plans were introduced as the contractor explained the design and what would be done. Passion was using money out of her own savings along with a small loan to pay for the construction but she didn't plan to do it alone still thinking of getting more people involved. The new club would have three floors and two stages twice as big as the original. Her plan was to make it into not only the hottest strip club but venue for special occasions. She walked around as men carried in lumber and other material placing it around the spot. By the time it opened making her money back wouldn't be a problem, not a day went by strippers weren't calling asking when work would be available and she kept her followers on social media up to date as she informed them on the status of what would become the new club. She had dancers, she had sponsors, and she had connections everything she needed to get the night life crows what they wanted. The hottest DJs being requested, VIP for celebrity clientele, bookings for album release and other corporate events her vision would not only make Club Sweets a popular strip club but the popular club period. While looking around the now empty venue her phone vibrated. She opens up the message that came in and sees it's from Henry asking if they could meet up later on that night. She left the message on seen as she thought about it, something didn't feel right about him and until she found out his true motives she would approach with caution.
"So this is where it happened" Prize said walking up to Passion.
"Yeah this is the spot but once I'm done with it won't nobody remember the shooting. What are you doing here"
"To be honest I came in here thinking I would see Wills ass I'm still not done with him but I was driving by and wanted to see what all of this was about"
"I'm rebuilding, not gonna let a tragedy that occurred kill my dreams of running this place"
"I respect that even though I don't know why you're in business with that punk ass but let me mind my business"
"Yes mind yours, besides I got plans for his ass you wait and see, the club will be mines"
"He not giving up his club to you"
"Oh yes he will you watch"
"So I called up to the hospital and they said Anita went home"
"Yeah baby girls back out into the world again"
"How she feel"
"Why don't you go over and find out for yourself"
Passion knew Prize, and he didn't do well at beating around the bush. His thought process was on Anita but he didn't want to come straight out and say it.
"Its not my place to go over there anymore she has somebody"
"True but you'll always love her she's the mother of your children and if you feel some way about her let her know"
"I'm surprised of all people you're telling me this. The person who been against us from the beginning"
"I never been against you, I've been against the bullshit you put my girl through, and yes her and L.A are happy but nothing is certain for sure if you want her and promise to treat her right who am I to tell you not to pursue her"
"You really think I treat her right this time huh"
"Of course cause if you don't I'll kill you myself" Passion says laughing continuing her walk around the club.
Prize took in the words said, the whole shooting made hot hunk twice about Anita and he realized her was better off with her then without so he was ready to fight for his woman. He missed coming home to a cooked meal, the baby watching TV and her laying on the bed waiting for his arrival. He missed the good morning kisses and back rubs she gave, he took everything for granted. He also was reminded of the nights he stayed out with other women while she waited at home wondering if he was safe. He remembered the moans she made when they made sweet love but also the crying she did when he hurt her. As much of the good memories he had there was also bad.
This was his last shot he thought to himself, he noticed the way she looked at L.A he knew it was love but he also knew what him and her had was unconditional love. He wasn't trying to come in the way of her happiness but he felt she would be more happy with him than her so operation get Anita back was in effect.
